An Oklahoma Republican senator filed legislation Wednesday to honor conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during an appearance at Utah Valley University last week.

Sen. Shane Jett (R-Shawnee), chair of the Oklahoma Freedom Caucus, filed three pieces of legislation honoring Kirk.

A proposed bill would establish Kirk's birthday, Oct. 14, as "Charlie Kirk Free Speech Day." Another bill would require a memorial for Kirk on public college campuses, and a resolution would officially honor the conservative activist in the Legislature.

Senate Bill 1187 would require each public university to designate and develop a memorial square or plaza at its main campus in Kirk's honor. The bill states the plaza must be in a highly visible and easily accessible location to "maximize public awareness and utilization."

The bill states that if any student, employee or faculty member vandalizes the plaza, they would be terminated from enrollment or employment and fined for the cost of the damage.

The bill would authorize institutions within the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education to accept donations from the National Endowment for the Arts and any private, corporate or public source to fund the plazas and statues. The Legislature may appropriate donation-matching funds to encourage support for the plazas.

"I am afraid the public sentiment and gay support gained the last 20 years could collapse if straights started feeling the gay rights folks are wanting to indoctrinate children."

There is already a segment of the population who believe that.

I think it's because they think being Republican and supporting Trump will count for more than their being trans. Will it though? Did they ask Caitlyn Jenner to speak at Trummp's convention? She doesn't believe in trans athletes in women's sports and could have spoken to that issue while still humanizing transgender people in general.

No new illegal immigrants are coming into this country, so at some point they will run out of them as a viable enemy as well. That's why they have to start ramping up their attacks against Antifa, the radical left, but there aren't a lot of them around either, so they are already expanding the enemy list to include Democrats and liberals in general and what they are refer to as liberal ideology, which in Trump's America is the root of all evil. Literally. They are coming for the journalists and the comedians. They are coming for the scientest and the college professors and teachers. They are coming for the lawyers and the judges, and it won't be long before they are coming for the doctors and nurses. I expect them to come for the LGBTQ community, for the humanists and the atheists and the Christians who aren't Christian nationalsits. Anyone who is not sufficiently with them will be on the list.

Chandler said that the earlier part of that shell casing's engraving, "Hey Fascist! Catch!" is a meme within the Helldivers 2 community talking about shooting robots. He said his assessment is that this, paired with the arrow sequence meme, render any possible political angle to the message "inconclusive."
