Only last week German Chancellor Friedrich Merz was "on the same page" as U.S. President Donald Trump over the goals of the Iran war ... he's now publicly airing his fears that Trump has no exit strategy to end fighting.

I think it was apparent from go there was no exit strategy. He expected Iran to roll over like Iraq. There are massive differences.

I get their position. The pursuit of charges seems like persecution in this case. I mean seriously - 6 months in jail is mind blowing. Punishment did not fit the crime at all.

I think it is horrifying what Israel is doing and we have been enabling but Trump is so much worse than Biden.

Then I look some of my idiotic friends and acquaintances from the region that voted for Trump because they were mad at Biden for not "ending" the Gaza invasion. I understand their anger and I empathize but get real. There is one in particular - I consider him a friend. He married a friend of mine decades ago now. Great people but so misguided at times - I warned him (and others). I told him point blank I will be saying "I told you so." After the election he was dancing when Trump won. We were together recently and I asked after his family (as I always do and they are scared by fine). Then I asked him if was still dancing with Syrians at the border and Israel bombing away. He kind of scowled and simply said "I know you warned me." All that needed to be said between us. And to be clear his family are not Muslim nor do they support Hezbollah.

Unfortunately, the line has been crossed and there is no going back with this administration in power and I doubt Iran would want to deal with a replacement Democrat led administration either. We are at war folks. Everything happening was 100% foreseeable yet our odious orange pedo couldn't not do it and couldn't be bothered to prepare before doing it - Epstein files were too close especially with the detailed accusations being finally released.

That said, how on earth was our military NOT prepared for the conflict? The hordes of Iranian drones and missiles? We had to go begging to Ukraine AFTER they were hitting all over the middle east? Was that arrogance, incompetence or both? Iron Dome appears to be less effective against Iran's ballistic missiles then was thought. Running out of Patriot Missiles too I am hearing. We SHOULD have been manufacturing them by the truck load well before all this happened. I am sure people like Kegseth were both arrogant and incompetent and squashed any preparations as un-needed as our mighty air superiority would just crush them. Now it is clear they are needed. It is also clear that Iran has ways to launch missiles that don't include the destroyed platforms.

A lot more people are going to die. I see boots on the ground to end this now because you can be 100% sure Iran is not stopping without Nukes otherwise. And we have incompetence in charge at every level in the White House, Congress and the Pentagon. Can our generals and admirals pull off a miracle despite that? I just don't now.

When it comes to Patriot Missiles - Asleep at the wheel. Ukraine should have set the production to over 2000k per year years ago. Per Lockheed - As of early 2026, the U.S. is aggressively scaling up production of Patriot (PAC-3 MSE) missiles to meet record global demand, with current output around 600"650 units per year. A new framework agreement with Lockheed Martin aims to triple this rate to approximately 2,000 per year. Where else are we asleep at the wheel?

Departments like Justice (and others) were allowed by tradition to operate MOSTLY outside of the President's direct control and influence for good reason. The fact it isn't legislated is a problem.

I am not naive enough to believe Presidents didn't impact them and their decisions but they didn't do the kind of nutty things we are seeing in this Regime.

I would say people were just delusional when they voted for him but most got exactly what they wanted.

State of the Union has just been pointless blabbering for the most part as long as I can remember. It is however an opportunity for Presidents to get up and tell Americans where we are at and where they think we should be going. With Trump it goes to a new level of (censored) we always know his speeches are a circus act that revolve around him, his ego, those that slighted him in some form and his perceived enemies. I couldn't get past 5 minutes of his drivel so no I didn't watch.

The claim (the production, inspection, and analysis of statewide voter registration lists that can be cross-checked effectively for improper registrations) makes about zero sense unless a lawyer here can make sense of it.

I mean if the state is denying the right to vote to legitimate voters there is a problem but how would the feds be able to cross-check for improper registrations? I mean they aren't comparing the rolls to Florida's rolls and trying to eliminate double registrations... This is where all you States Rights folks will be speaking up, amiright?

Funny, All these violent criminal "illegals" apparently have SSN and file taxes...

When will you rubes wake up? They are going after the documented, including those that have done everything right and may got a parking ticket. You know the real violent organized crime kind of criminals terrorizing the US.

At the very least every single one of these should have required a judicial warrant.

Anyone care to tell me again how LEOs are great guys? I am so sick of seeing this and worse over and over AND see them get away with it. There are good LEOs but are the really if they cover up for the bad ones? I am sure in the "brotherhood" the good ones feel the HAVE to do so more often than not.

BUT then they leave and THIS. Dirty and disgusting.

Just going to say in the last year my company:

- Shed about 7% of its work force (not due to AI).
- Had raw material price double in 2025 and about to double again.
- Raised prices twice (4%, followed by 9%). About to do it a 3rd time even more.
- Is facing likely lack of raw material supply in the coming year.
- Is eliminating about 12% of our business this week - cutting those customers off due to price instability, raw material supply and lower margins.
- One of our vendors cut 80% of its customers off. All vendors are demanding to know our stocking levels so they can ration supply.

The upstream impact is anyone doing machining and stamping in manufacturing is going to be impacted. There are several other areas our raw material is used in as well.

If we don't lay off 20% of our workforce this year I will be amazed. It is coming.
