The Trump administration on Tuesday widened its efforts to stamp out Medicaid fraud, at least in its fifth state this year, calling on Florida officials to share information on how they identify, prevent, and address bad actors in their state program. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Mehmet Oz, MD, MBA, had previously sent similar requests to New York, Minnesota, Maine, and California in what has been a growing, Trump administration-wide initiative to crack down on fraud, waste, and abuse.
Ruling in the case of a Black pastor who was arrested while watering his neighbor's flowers, the Alabama Supreme Court said police can demand to see identification during a stop if they are dissatisfied with a person's verbal answers. Justices issued the 6-3 decision last week after a federal judge presiding over a lawsuit about Michael Jennings' 2022 arrest asked the court to clarify whether officers can demand to see a person's identification under the state's "stop-and-identify" law. The minister was arrested when he declined to show Childersburg police identification.

I hear what you are saying and I have been moving in that direction for quite some time now. Honestly Glass but the seals still shed plastics. It is impossible to avoid plastics in food. So much of our food period is in plastic and all processed foods go through plastics. My canning lids have plastic seals... Canned store bought product all flows through plastic. Fruits, vegetables, Bread, etc. are packaged int it. I have metal drink containers like Yeti's that I use at work and play but the tops are still plastic.
Interestingly, something I read in an article not long ago about Glass bottles for things are worse than the plastic ones. This is just one of the articles on it. It is however a good dose of microplastics and bottles information.
Delta has cut their special services for Congress critters.
"Due to the impact on resources from the longstanding government shutdown, Delta will temporarily suspend specialty services to members of Congress flying Delta," Delta said in a statement to CNBC.

This is a game changer for a lot of things as it continues to develop.
China in particular has been working on it and are way out front. They even operate down to -40C. The problem is they are still heavier and bigger per KWh. They are lower cost, much safer and more stable than other battery tech as well. According to a 2019 paper I read the cost per KWh should be in the range of $40"77 (times do change) I am not sure on the charge life cycles but what I read in the past 10s of thousands was possible - if not more.

Our military is a Charlie Foxtrot. Kegseth has them firing off years of production and a quarter of the US inventory on Iran. Iranian Drones and missiles are pounding our baseses and our partners. Nobody learned from Ukraine and failed to prepare for this conflict. We had to run begging to the Ukraine for their drone interceptors. We let our most expensive aircraft sit on tarmacs well within Iranian range and get pummeled.
It is inept leadership at least 2 layers deep from the top. Congress is at fault as well. Not only did Trump start a forever war for Nuttyahoo, he came unprepared. He thought this was Iraq part 3 and didn't even prepare land forces.
I have been against this war for a long long time. Even before his first term. This is his debacle. Turn him over to the Hague.
