I've been watching this since it started about Monday and it's all over youtube. Iranian exiles in the states are ecstatic. Video is everywhere - women dancing in the street without burkas, people holding up the banned flag of the Old Republic while burning Iranian flags, statues are coming down and now the people are attacking IRGC police stations and freeing the prisoners.

About wednesday I realized it wasn't a protest - it was a revolution.

The exiled Prince of Iran is telling people to take over the capital and is now giving orders to the army, I'll find you some vids.

It looks like this is the real thing, and Iran will finally be free of it's religous dictatorship. No more funding terror groups, and peace in the middle-east will dawn.

The US Navy confirmed that the ship would be 256 to 268 meters long, will displace above 35,000 tons, have a speed of more than 30 knots powered by nuclear propulsion system.

It also confirmed the proposed weaponry to include 12-cell Surface Launch Cruise Missile-Nuclear CPS VLS and 128-cell Mk. 41 VLS, a 32MJ railgun with hyper-velocity projective (HVP), two Mk. 45 5" (127mm) naval guns, three 300KW or two 600KW laser guns, 2 RAM launchers, four Mk.38 Mod.3 30mm guns, four Optical Dazzling Interdictor, Navy (ODIN) counter UAV lasers, and two counter unmanned systems weapons.

It also appears to be equipped with a new AN/SPY-6 AEGIS system, will have a very strong command and control capability that will be used for task force or fleet command roles. And because of its planned arming of the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile " Nuclear (SLCM-N) nuclear-tipped cruise missile, the new battleships will give the US Navy additional platforms for its sea-based nuclear capability in addition to the Ohio and Columbia-class SSBNs.

Pretty ambitious since they don't have a shipyard that can build one. Or a railgun that works. Or a hypersonic missile.

I suspect it's the Japanese rail-gun, which they already mounted on a ship and tested. It fires Mach 6.5 rounds. And yes, we have hyper-sonic missiles. The navy one is called Conventional Prompt Strike, the army one is called Dark Eagle, and there are some others....

A 300 kilojoule rail-gun, two 5" guns, two 600 kw lasers, a mix of 30mm and phalanx guns, a 128 cell vertical launch system and 12 hypersonic missiles. No word on torpedo tubes. A good living wage would start at $20 an hour these days, I'd say. That's about what the adjusted minimum wage would be today if it was as high as it was in the late 50's and sixties.

What are ranting about? That has nothing to do with my post about minimum wage (of course).

Nobody, and I mean nobody, is talking about raising the minimum wage to $15. Instead, Repubs talks about "affordability", and for democrats it's not even on the radar. Let's see if Trump is dumb enough to ignore Gen Z like the Dems are.
