Fascism, the permanent rule of the very rich over the great many...is what Trump is about, night and day. Both John Kelly, his former Chief of Staff and James Mattis, his former Secretary of Defense, said Trump was fascist to his core.
I don't think Trump cares about we the poor even a tiny little bit. Our lives and deaths are not his concern.

As one who lives in low income senior and disabled HUD financed housing, living around over a hundred people who would be devastated if this housing were to disappear, in an economy that really is heartless to those who cannot pay the high rents...cutting housing for the poor is just warfare against your own citizens...something Trump really does with great energy.

What is it about our human souls, who we are at our core, that we can become fascists, support them, fear them so much they strut about with impunity? Here I define fascism as the permanent rule of the very few super rich oligarchs over the great many of us, using fear, harassment, intimidation, violence, the destruction of our independent media, and of course, gaslighting hate.

First, Fascism comes for the rule of law, no matter in what country, what hemisphere...and then it comes for the independent media, and then the prisons are full of those without power. That is America, certainly that is the path we are on with Trumpism...banana republic pretend democracy.

The rule of law is of the greatest importance, it is the vision that contains a future of peace and health for humanity. Otherwise...we are as all empires are...on the edge of a cliff. Americans deserve and expect a strong and secure border, but we intentionally had porous borders ever since the Bracero Program was canceled in the mid 1960's. Those people who came in and did the work...should be given a path to citizenship and life should just go on.

I remember hearing a short clip by James Mattis saying that because of the Trump war, Iran would now set up a toll booth at the Strait...and when I heard that I had trouble believing it. But now...yeah, that oil is that important to that many nations of the world.
Imagine a return to having Mattis as Secretary of Defense, replacing Hegseth, and John Kelly returning to replace Wiles as Chief of Staff....

Parts of the Deep South, NC, SC, Alabama, for example, clearly are about electing politicians with their heads in the last century, maybe 1950 or so.
No, unfortunately, Jan. 6. wasn't staged, it was an example of what Berlin looked like when Hitler strode about...people cheering wildly and the rule of law ignored.

Trump clearly doesn't care about America or Americans, he cares about his personal wealth, and possibly, a home safe from the ICC when he heads for the hills, and perhaps Israel plays a part in that planning.

One great fear of mine involves how Netanyahu stays in power, he is able to have terrorist attacks frighten the people of Israel so much that they keep him in office. This World Cup season, I can only hope that major terror events don't occur. Hard to believe that ICE would be as they were in Minneapolis, but that is possible as well.
If I were Trump, I would be rigging things so when I resign, my VP, who would be automatically President, pardons me and my entire family and gang from anything and everything.

Looking forward to the midterm election season, as MAGA criminals running for office have to explain why they keep on supporting Trump and his bankrupting ways, and people like Talarico actually remind of that there are decent people on this earth...though of course MAGA will do what they can to toss mud all over him and his religious base.
I support Talarico and I identify as an atheist. Should be a lot of voters who have faith systems like his that will hear MAGA for what they are...posturing greed merchants.

All to force America to bend a knee to him...all the Ball Rooms in the world cannot change the fact that he is the worst President in American history and a truly terrible human being. It would be a waste to have to tear down his arch, but maybe after he departs, if it is built, the cost of tearing it down can come form the fines he will owe America.

At this point, to be a MAGA power holder is to advertise to the world you are either stupid as the old fence post, or you are as corrupt as...well, take you pick, goodness knows Blanche qualifies.

May this be a trend...First thing I read this morning, and it seems to say at least part of the federal judiciary is still on the job enforcing the rule of law. Clearly, Trump's grand strategy is to "exceed his constitutional powers" and force people to sue and in the meantime, he gets to be all the time mean.

I prefer to think of the fellow human who thought it was a good idea, as being too drunk to be rational, rather than a sober citizen who had a theory...cuz that person probably can sober up if drunk, but cannot get the brainpower to function if he really did think it was a good idea.
He drove into that lake the way Trump drove our country into the Iran war...thought it was a good idea at the time.

Trump clearly cannot help himself, he is an obsessive cult leader driven by inner dark forces, that seems to be clear.

Well, there is the AIPAC motive as well, Israel has hundreds of nuclear weapons of mass destruction aimed straight at Iran, and it wants to remain the sole nuclear power in the insane asylum called the Middle East. Truth be told, when you introduce such weapons you are automatically giving your enemies permission to defend themselves...

Tariffs, taxes on American consumers to try and force them to buy American..the Chinese producers have an entire world to sell their products in, many really don't need the US.

Murder is murder. To kill criminal suspects on the high seas is murder, to kill Venezuelans in order to kidnap their leader is murder, to attack a country, Iran, that is no danger to the US, all to steal their oil and distract all from the Epstein debacle...murder.
If the rule of law prevailed, Trump would be up on numerous war crimes charges at The Hague. But he murders the rule of law first, as all good mafia chieftains do.

I find it truly weird that at this late date I can still be appalled by Trump and his greedy grifting army of incompetent dingbats. At time goes on, he gets more and more dangerous to the rule of law world wide, goodness knows he crossed a line when he decided to murder Venezuelans, people at sea, and then Iranians. MAGA, this is totally on you.

So, is Trump more about incompetence or is he just screwing over this country for fun, and with dark intentions?

Again, if Putin were sitting in the shadows in the White House, advising Trump, things would still be moving exactly as they are. Our military is being decimated, our alliances torn apart, and we Americans are being divided one from another. If all out war were to spark anywhere in the world, we Americans would be at a huge disadvantage thanks to Hegseth and Trump. MAGA, this is how America is made great again?
