Orders for durable goods, items ranging from toasters to aircraft meant to last three years or more, jumped 9.2% last month after slightly downwardly revised 0.9% gain in February, the Commerce Department's Census Bureau said on Thursday. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast durable goods orders advancing 2.0% after a previously reported 1.0% gain in February. read more

"The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2" publication " which was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak theory " was prompted by Dr. Fauci to push the preferred narrative that COVID-19 originated naturally. Dr. Fauci's Senior Advisor, Dr. David Morens, deliberately obstructed the Select Subcommittee's investigation, likely lied to Congress on multiple occasions, unlawfully deleted federal COVID-19 records, and shared nonpublic information about NIH grant processes with EcoHealth President Dr. Peter Daszak. Public health officials often mislead the American people through conflicting messaging, knee-jerk reactions, and a lack of transparency. Most egregiously, the federal government demonized alternative treatments and disfavored narratives, such as the lab leak theory, in a shameful effort to coerce and control the American people's health decisions.

"They're having a 60% off sale on crack...
#46 | Posted by lfthndthrds"

Jerry Nadler is 100% against crack - which is why he wears his belt at his man ---- level.

x.com

Then again, with the Dems being 20% LGBTQA, I don't think Nadler wants to take the chance of having his pants fall down in front of the militant homosexuals and have his -------------- popped.

"ScottS state no democrats want affordable housing, ignoring all the recents construction happening in Los Angeles to provide just that."

therealdeal.com
The average cost to build an affordable housing unit in Los Angeles is cited as $500,000.. LA 'affordable' housing is a scam to line developer pockets - which is why few ever get built and the city is being investigated over where it embezzled $12B in homeless funds.

"As well as section 8 housing."

Literally NO ONE wants section 8 housing - don't pretend Dems want it. There is no faster way to destroy a neighborhood than bringing in section 8 housing units (and the trash that lives in them).

"As well as habitat for humanity. Which Trump attacked."

He said they have a waste, fraud, and abuse problem - which is true. It is great in concept and I applaud Jimmy Carter for all of his work with them - but, the reality is that Habitat for Humanity and a lot of other government supported development groups are filled with fraud and abuse.

"Meanwhile republicans have zero plans for the homeless, other than to blame democrats.
#13 | Posted by ClownShack"

The GOP has an actual plan - fix the economy for the low skilled by bringing back manufacturing jobs, deporting the illegals so that they stop suppressing wages, and enforcing drug laws so people can fix their addiction problems. Do that, and we won't have a homeless problem. Which is why the Democrats are fighting them - if homelessness disappears, the Dems won't have voters anymore as all they promise to voters is handouts. Make people self-reliant and they will never vote Democrat again.

"If Pres Trump has destroyed China, then why does Pres Trump say that he is talking with Pres Xi, and Pres Xi is saying that there have been no such discussions between the US and China on tariffs?"

Because the Chinese, per usual, are lying as they know braindead liberals will just run with their talking points. Why does China report robust GDP growth despite their tax receipts falling? - because they lie.

"Also, when Pres Trump was asked by the press, multiple times, when he talked to Pres Xi"

If you think US trade negotiators are not meeting with Chinese trade negotiators, you are not worth discussing this topic with further. BOTH SIDES - don't want to appear weak. In the case of Xi, he is facing internal unrest which could topple the CCP or his control of it - and people that lose control in China don't just slip into retirement - they wind up in jail or dead. He has a lot more on the line in maintaining his public image.

"China's Pres Xi is ghosting Pres Trump. Pres Xi seems to be playing the long game, as opposed to Pres Trump's short-term, transactional game."

Xi is folding like a cheap suit - he is exempting products across industries because they are essential goods for China and as I pointed out before, their alternative is not eating and not having electricity. Worse, due to the US not taking Chinese exports, they have been re-routed for internal consumptions setting off deflation in the country.

"If, as your current alias seems to assert, Pres Trump's position is so strong, why does he seem to be lying about things surrounding that position?

"Link up, buttercup. Or STFU already.

My statements are always backed by actual stats.

papers.ssrn.com

"Using newly released detailed data on all prisoners who entered the Arizona state prison from January 1985 through June 2017, we are able to separate non-U.S. citizens by whether they are illegal or legal residents. Unlike other studies, these data do not rely on self-reporting of criminal backgrounds. Undocumented immigrants are at least 142% more likely to be convicted of a crime than other Arizonans. They also tend to commit more serious crimes and serve 10.5% longer sentences, more likely to be classified as dangerous, and 45% more likely to be gang members than U.S. citizens."
