Federal emergency response workers operating in North Carolina's Rutherford County in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene were told to evacuate on Saturday over concerns that an "armed militia" was threatening workers in the area, it has been reported. National Guard troops had come across two trucks of "armed militia saying they were out hunting FEMA," the email said. "The IMTs [incident management teams] have been notified and are coordinating the evacuation of all assigned personnel in that county." read more

Here. I think that this bud's for you....

Your message about her winning elections is literally all about San Francisco and California elections. This isn't those favorable elections.

But the main message is the problem for low information voters.

The news media is all about stupid things Trump says. The ads are all abortion or Harris awesome unity stuff. I've yet to see a commercial about taxes, labor, healthcare, or inflation, and only one about Social Security. Definitely nothing on Trump's Epstein issue, his rape case, his felonies, his fraud either.

That's been in every speech, every rally, every commercial, repeated by every pundit.

Do you honestly think the average voter is watching her campaign events or the pundits? No, seriously, do you think the average voter is going to her events or watching them on Youtube or something?

You can say whatever you want about what she stands for and believes. She's a fine candidate there.

But WHAT MESSAGE IS GETTING OUT?

We don't need her preaching to the choir. We need the message to make it outside the church doors. And except for abortion, a cogent message hasn't done that!

Trump on the other hand has. It's ALL anti-immigration (because immigrants bad apparently) and tariffs to protect workers (which it won't) and low taxes (even though it's less for workers than Harris' plan). That message is out and about for 10 years now, walking the streets, shaking hands, and is in people's heads.

Trump's ideas are TERRIBLE for the country if you understand them. But what do they represent? Trump wanting to protect America from crime, protect American jobs, and make sure workers take home more pay. The idea BEHIND those policies resonate even if the policies will fail completely. And low information voters don't understand those policies will do the opposite of what they want.

Low information voters are still the norm, Corky, and for ----- sake, you know that. And she hasn't reached them very well and I pray to God that it doesn't cost her the election.

If I'm wrong, why the hell is the election so close?

For me, the Harris campaign varies from merely good all the way to inspired. Women will save us all from Rumpleforeskin Trump. My wife and I voted in WI for Harris over a month ago, the day after we received our ballots! I am guessing our votes will be added to the landslide sometime after midnight on Tuesday.

Inspired how?

There are basically no progressive policies that are important to the American people at large.

We hear nothing on pricing gouging. (Should be a huge issue)
We hear nothing on wages. (Should be a huge issue)
We hear nothing on path to citizenship. Hell, she's moved so far right that she is echoing GOP talking points from 12 years ago.
We hear nothing on going after Wall Street.
We heard something on a housing credit but nothing about corporate ownership and the housing situation is barely discussed.
We hear nothing on crime.
We hear barely a blip on guns.

We get the abortion thing and that's it.

It's all "I'm not Trump".

If people are voting with their pocket books and are low information voters, WHY vote for Harris? They hear tax cuts from Trump. They hear going after China even if they don't understand it. They hear anti-immigration talking points about taking our jobs and crime from Trump.

Harris should be talking about how she will improve our lives beyond just Abortion. Drop the fascist crap and talk about the rape, Epstein, spying on underage girls at pageants, the felony, and the racism if you want to bash Trump. She should have continued with the Republicans are weird message. If they say Trans, she should pivot to them wanting to inspect girls' private parts. But none of this is a main campaign message. And She REFUSES to acknowledge how bad things have gotten with mostly stagnant wages and high inflation or distance herself from Biden at all. She could easily go after big corporations as the enemy #1 and refuses. All of this would resonate.

If Harris loses, which seems probable, this is why.

As of now, the GOP simply wants to deny healthcare to millions of poor and moderate income Americans, including millions of their supporters. Here in Okiehomie hundreds of thousands are on either Medicaid or the ACA.

And I say do it.

It's past time the American people get what they keep voting for and get it good and hard.

Teamsters won't endorse? Fine. Let Trump kill the union.
Blue Collar wants to support Trump? Great. Goodbye Healthcare after killing Obamacare, Goodbye Jobs after the Tariffs and Enjoy the Low Wages/Lack of Overtime Pay.
Boomers want to support Trump? Fantastic. Social Security and Medicare cuts.
Religious Right wants Trump? Great. Enjoy those teen pregnancies and falling rates of young believers.
Florida wants Trump? Enjoy rebuilding on your own after hurricanes because the illegal immigrants are gone and FEMA/SBA are decimated.
Small Business Owners want to support Trump? Fantastic. Good luck finding workers after he deports everyone and enjoy big business squashing you with Trump's approval.
Rural Voters? Goodbye government pay for your roads, emergency services, schools and utilities. Goodbye public assistance.
First Time Homebuyers? Sucks for you as Trump let's Wall Street continue to buy up homes and raise prices for everyone. Enjoy renting forever as artificially high prices Trump wants to protect.
Just a typical family working hard to take care of their kids? No more child tax credits. Enjoy the tax hikes and rising cost of literally everything you need to survive.
Arab Americans sitting out the election because Biden/Harris aren't tough enough on Israel? Fantastic. Watch Trump double down on Israel's war.

Harris was too stupid to focus on progressive causes that voters support by wide margins. She moved right rather than giving voters any reason to support her other than being "Not Trump" and pro-Choice.

I hope Trump wins and does everything he claimed he wanted to do so Americans can feel the consequences of what they support.
