Isn't defending the integrity of your home just a case of a 'territorial dispute'? After all, you can just relocate to another place more to your liking after the home invader takes what they want. You can also be confident that the home invader won't come to your new place because they can be trusted (just like one can trust the Russians: see the Budapest Memorandum of about thirty years ago!). If one follows the actions of the Russians rather than what they say, there's little mystery as to why the Ukrainians are fighting.

Now, to answer your question, personally I'm more concerned about any powerful person/party that circumvents/ignores the law. Yes, the law might be imperfect, but if the law is not followed then our republic no longer exists. There are ways to deal with imperfect law.
