Trump's breakup with Putin, at least on the surface, may be as big a farse as Trump himself.
It allows Putin to continue his merciless, demoralizing assault on Ukrainian citizens and, at the same time, allows Trump an opportunity to change his image . . . all to run one of his notorious scams on the Nobel committee.
It might work. Lying, cheating and scamming are Trump's strong points. I doubt it ever occurs to him to do anything honestly.
