Putin IS helping him, evidenced by that phony, so called summit meeting in Alaska that gave Trump a lot of creds as a peacekeeper for the Nobel Peace Prize committee to consider.

I'm just thinking that bigger things are at stake. My hypothesis is that Putin doesn't want to destroy Trump. They're going to need each other later on. Which I outlined in my #13.

I think they're both lurking until Trump is in a political position to join Russia in carrying out their ultimate goal.

Right now, you've got to admit that Trump is doing everything he can to destroy democracy which Putin has already accomplished in Russia. Trump has some catching up to do but he's working on it.

Trump and Putin are both power hungry 'control freaks.' I'm thinking that this unholy BFF relationship is a prelude to their ultimate goal . . . to split up the hemispheres and jointly control the world's economy and thus, control the world. Maybe with China as a silent partner.

Trump is just trying to drag everything out until after the midterms when he's counting on having that Unitary Executive title in his pocket and he doesn't have to worry about 2028.

Knowing Trump, he'll just make his own Peace Prize and give it to himself ~~ and (like everything Trump declares about himself) it will be the biggest and the most beautiful peace prize the world has ever seen.

We don't know what went on behind that closed door meeting, but it does appear that this whole summit thing (1 on 1 with Trump, red carpet, ride in the "Beast," etc.) was merely to boost Putin/Russia out of their isolationist reputation.

Trump did get one thing, though. At least the media isn't talking about Epstein while they're performing an autopsy in this fake summer meeting to confirm that Trump is the consummate dirty-trickster.

There's an air of Doom hanging over this meeting. Putin is arriving, not only with his own superior intellect and acute knowledge of the situation but with his battle worn staff of experts.

Trump, OTOH, is arriving woefully and intellectually inferior with his staff of newly minted, fresh from the vine, entourage of staffers who, if Trump runs true to form, are just along for the ride.

IOW, Trump does all the talking. Woe is us . . . or better said, Woe is the U.S.A.

Trump has already set up an escape hatch from this meeting

He announced that if he doesn't hear what he wants from Putin within the first two minutes, he will walk out ~~ and hold his own press conference single-o.

Somebody has probably put a bug in Trump's ear that this meeting with Putin could be an embarrassing trap and he should be ready to bolt for the door.

That's Zalensky's Achilles heel. That and being dependent on the traitorous mindset of Donald Trump and especially lily-livered accomplices in Congress who would sell their own country down the drain for fear of retaliation. There's not a GOP man-sack in the bunch. Right now, they're all just a bunch of frightened eunuchs, willing to go-along to git-along, the future of democracy be damned.

We might as well include the GOP members of the U.S. Supreme Court.
