Nor would anybody be surprised to learn that this sort of occurrence is more common than not.

Blackmail is a useful tool for expecting donations. Although "Randy" Andy, who has signaled that he is willing to blow the lid off the Epstein investigation to the House committee rather than wait for a subpoena, has probably already cancelled his check to the Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Ballroom.

Another one of Trump's nonsense distractions. Either that or Trump is using a false pretext to raid somebody's home. That would be more like his style.

Trump does not do well at these boring but obligatory occasions. My impression is that he just wanted to get it over with and get back to his deal making.

This is right up Trump's alley. The rich get richer and the poorer get poorer.

If she answered truthfully to any of those questions, she'd be on Trump's hit list in a nano-second.

As it was, not answering either way saved her from a charge of lying to congress.

If Trump gets wind of this scam, it will probably give him a "Eureka!" moment, otherwise known as, Why didn't I think of that?

Why won't Trump release the Epstein files?

My first guess is that there are a number of very prominent GOP campaign contributors with deep pockets, not to mention a couple or three sitting members of congress . . . who would be exposed if their names come out. Not that they don't deserve to be run out of town on a rail but that's not how Trump's MAGA circle play the game.

And then, of course, there are those rumored photos of Trump himself frolicking with some young stuff.

In short, the answer to "why" is . . . . all Hell would break loose.

America would go through a massive sea change. And to put some icing on the cupcake, we'd probably end up with our first Madam President.

The timing is right. Canadians start streaming South across the border to U.S. warmer climes along about Thanksgiving. Big mistake while Trump's gestapo is free ranging violence from sea to shining sea, as the song goes. America isn't safe anymore. Not for us and our families and certainly not for foreign tourists.

Canada is telling it like it is. The risk is high. Better to be smart and be safe.

Well, if nothing else, Trump has been successful at getting Epstein off the liberal media news cycle.

He didn't elaborate. Something about people needing people. One can only assume he was making it up on the fly. I just thought it was the height of arrogance to say anything of that nature to a room full of seasoned military professionals.

I got my first burst of spontaneous laughter early when Hegseth, while addressing an audience of battle-worn and battled-scared senior military officers, said "what I learned from my 800 days in this job" blah, blah, blah.

After that everything else he said became irrelevant.

I also thought that having so much military brass in one location would be an opportune time for them to start planning a military coup of the Trump administration.

Russia has a Supreme Court, or whatever they call it. Actually, they're just a group of bobbleheads whose only job is to act as a second source of agreement with Mr. Putin.

It sounds like our own U.S. Supreme Court is in the process of turning themselves into copy-cats.

This thread is about the U.S Supreme Court and, by the admission of Justice Thomas, no longer intends to abide by precedent but rather the nonsensical whims of a power hunger grifter.

This is an admission that we've long suspected. The Supreme Court is no longer an independent judiciary. The conservative majority is now in the business of incrementally destroying the Constitutional Republic of the United States.
