I listened to an intriguing conversation on NPR the other day, about the possibility that AI might be able to translate the language of other sentient animals.

AI can be both fascinating and frightening. I suppose it will all depend on who is programming and using it. Unfortunately, human nature almost guarantees a bad outcome.

I don't subscribe to Bloomberg. But it takes no deep thought to understand that Trump has never cared about helping Ukraine. Every move Trump makes regarding this issue is to help Putin and Trump. It should be painfully obvious by now that Donald Trump has been a Russian asset for decades.

Anecdotally, my rates across three separate meters have not differed substantially since last year. They're up about 2 percent. But it is a little hotter this year.

The increases that are hitting me the hardest by far are from insurance companies.

It would probably be prudent to keep those trucks away from protests. But you know they won't. My bet is that they will be used at protests as props, to arrest 'protestors' they've planted to vandalize the trucks. Then they can escalate the situation, much as they did during the BLM demonstrations.

I think over the last couple of decades Vegas has become much less about the gambling, and much more about centralized entertainment. ..As in, a place where you could take a long weekend and attend multiple shows/concerts. Last couple of times I've been to Vegas, I haven't gambled a penny.

Democrats can't win this battle. Many blue states have bipartisan and/or independent commissions in place to ensure that redistricting is fair. While most red states have never established such methods. Republicans can only win by cheating, and they know this maneuver will give them permanent power.

Not that the average persons vote mattered before, but after Nov 2026 voting won't matter at all.

Don't worry. Next months job numbers, pulled from the posterior of the Trump Administration, will be FAR more optimistic.

Denial of insurance because of pre-existing conditions is about to become much more frequent again. All the US healthcare system cares about is separating as many people from their money as possible, before they die. Soon, most will not have the option to pass their meager fortunes to their heirs.
