Intimidation has become this regimes weapon of choice. Killing or arresting peaceful protestors. Arresting alleged vandals on very thin charges. Masked jack boots marching in the streets of DC. Sending agents out against dissenters. Threats of kangaroo courts and trumped up charges against enemies. ...A slow descent to authoritarianism, not so different from 1930's Germany.

It obviously IS a gaslighting red scare. And you're either perpetuating it, or like most Trumpers it's working very well on you. Everything I've heard with any seriousness is NO worse than proposals that might have been made by FDR or Harry Truman. Were they "communists"?

Social media has been nothing but red scare for the last two weeks. One thing MAGA is very adept at... They can spread lies and misinformation all the way around the world, in memes and short sound bites, before the Dems can even get the truth out the front door.

Most of the people who could change this only care about making certain that nobody is sponging off of a social safety net.

I look at maps and make my own predictions. The terrain I live in is far too varied for people to tell me what's going to happen from hundreds of miles away. I'm usually far more accurate than they are. But as this regime cuts funding, the infrastructure used for prediction is going to get much less reliable.

Hmmm... The shortages in supply are ongoing. And the Strait is still only passing less that 10 percent of its pre-war numbers... Still significant disruption in the supply chain. My understanding is that the futures price of oil is still far different than the actual delivery price. Don't believe everything you see.
