The local paper here has been an outstanding job of covering this, along with the book bans (and defeats DeSantis has had). This has been utterly ridiculous. The state didn't even bother to respond to our school district's submission of materials for sexual health education, so they cancelled all the classes for the year. Now the state says "just use ours" which is utterly useless at best and honestly, harmful and detrimental to our students.

Based on what that local policeman said I'd bet he wasn't a Camden officer but perhaps one that's a Union member in a different precinct? The police union had to be done away with in Camden to finally break the horrible police "blue line" that had pitted horrific police against the populace. That would definitely make some union officers pretty pissed off and worried about their own jobs.

I second that, Madbomber. That and all the benefits. My Walmart+ is paid for by it, which gets me free Paramount+. Additionally there's $240 in digital subscription/year I get, which pays for Sirius, New York Times, and part of my Disney+ streaming. $200 in airline credit (thanks for the seat upgrades!) and $200 in hotel credits (AMEX hotel limit IIRC). There's way more to it than I thought there'd be. My net out-of-pocket cost works out to be around $80/year - not $695.

Plus I've been using the airport lounges a lot more. That shower on the way to **** was just what I needed!

Florida's so bad about this that they finally, under pressure from an Amendment legalizing abortion, have published "guidelines" on when a woman can receive proper medical care.
