KEY to the story about ABC suspending Kimmel's show: Nexstar and Sinclair, two big owners of ABC-affiliated stations, both need FCC approval for pending deals. With a lot of $$ on the line, both have reason to curry favor with the Trump admin. Both decided to yank Kimmel's show.

This needs context. The Chairman of the FCC, Brendan Carr, a rabid MAGAt POS called Kimmel's words "the sickest conduct possible" and said "We can do this the easy way or the hard way" demanding "these companies" comply with their view. This is the same man that was ranting and out of control crying out about the danger of censorship by Biden over misinformation on public health issues.

BTW - read that 2nd paragraph in #48 and watch Kimmel. You'll see exactly what I'm saying perfectly illustrated by Trump's response to the Press about Kirk's murder.

#44 - I watched the Kilmeade exchange completely in context - and it was obvious it was going off the rails before Kilmeade jumped in. Also I watched the Kimmel monologue - and he was dead on with it. The problem was he was criticizing the massive right-wing machine immediately (just like happened on here) blaming "The Left" before anything was really known. Contrary information started to appear, but it was early and things changed. The point he was making was still dead on. No one should be blaming others until we know WTF is going on. At least not at the level of President, DHC, FBI, and DOJ levels.

I knew when Kirk was killed it was just too sweet and too juicy an opportunity for Trump to go after his enemies, so he had to turn the full us government to that task, and set the message before we knew what really happened. If he was wrong, he still accomplished what he wanted. If he was right, he accomplishes what he wanted and he can point and say "see how dangerous these leftists are!"
