Trump could basically fail to turn over evidence and completely shutout other agencies from ivestigating.

And who is going to stop him?

His entire tactic of delay would be in play to the extreme. And promises of pardons to all involved would make it a quagmire.

And to pull the gun out when he thought he was going to get run over makes little sense - first instict should have been to get the hell out of the way if he thought he was in danger - not to fire at her, and then to fire additioanl shots after he was in the clear.

When you consider it's their own policy not to shoot at a moving vehicle AND avoiding a moving car is safer than firing at it - you can just see this entire event was a clusterf*ck. Approaching that car and drawing his gun should have been the LAST thing on his mind - given the sitiuation.

This guy won't see jail time IMO - but he should be given the boot from the force.

Over what? Their own safety? That would imply the civilian is attempting to maim or injure them, and the officer should just let them do it.
Sorry its perfectly reasonable for the police to have their safety as a priority when dealing with hostile civilians.

What you fail to realize, in this situation, is the ICE agent handled the situation completely wrong. Mind you, the procedures are there for exactly this situation - where the civilian is being uncooperative. And that's important to realize - she was being uncooperative! Not a person of interest they were seeking to arrest!

1. ICE approaching/standing in front of the car rather than approaching from the side (procedure and common sense).
2. Filming with his phone.
3. Drawing his gun rather than simply avoiding the car.

This agent basically did everything wrong - by the book - and it resulted in a civilian being killed.

In the courts - he'll get self defense - but an agent with that much experience really f*cked up over something so benign.

Should have all been avoided by stepping out of the way and arresting the person afterwards (if that was what they wished to do).

Getting anywhere near the front of the car was poor judgement on his part. IF anything, he should have approached the car on the passenger's side.

He put himself in a bad situation and it turned out horribly.

And as I've heard many professionals, as law enforcement in this situation, he should have simply avoided the car and persued afterwards. Was not a person of interest nor was she bearing arms. If they wanted to arrest her after the fact, they easily could have ID'd her.

Wouldn't the normal response by law enforcement to run after the car and see the status of the victim. The car actually rammed into other cars and a very high speed.

Additionally, maybe backing up more and stepping aside/getting the hell out of the way if he felt endangered was the more prudent way to go rather than fire RIGHT INTO THE WINDSHIELD.

The other thing to consider is, given the situation and the driver, he fires at the car endangering his partner who is on the passenger side door.

This was not an armed person or even a person of interest - again - this is an unforced error via horrible law enforcement principles.

I think pulling his gun, given what I saw, was unnecessary. You can see the ICE agent going for the door was being very aggressive. But, he didn't pull his gun.

This person wasn't doing something that required a drawn gun, IMO. In fact, I think your first reaction should be to simply avoid being hit by the car (if that is in fact your fear). But to pull a gun, don't see it.
