The State of Florida is having a hard time halting the sale of property by Canadians, many of whom bought in 2009-10, rescuing the housing market in SW Florida and getting great deals at the same time. Those folks, now feeling unwelcome, are selling. And guess who they are selling to? Anyone who comes along...

These ICE dudes need to present valid operators licenses and proof of insurance when signing up for the job. Meanwhile, rental car companies are surely freaking out about the condition of vehicles returned--beat up passenger sides, vomit and urine soaking the interiors, cases of empty Red Bull and Five-Hour Energy bottles strewn about, and half-eaten Slim Jims in the glove box and under the seats...

Mayor Pureval is well-liked and has done a good job in office. He came to City Hall after cleaning up the county recorder's office. He conducts himself like an adult. He seems to recognize the good and bad in the city and is focused on making things better.

Cory Bowman was a stooge, put up for the job by local MAGA hacks who thought that his half brother had coat tails. It was found out that Bowman (1) didn't pay state sales taxes collected from his coffeehouse business for more than a year (he finally did so in recent weeks), and (2) may have committed voter fraud when voting in his election, because he said he lived in one place, owned homes in two other locations, and may have voted in a local precinct where he didn't actually live, causing issues with a local judgeship race. His campaign was all about "Make Cincinnati Great Again" and local took offense to the insinuation that the Queen City was a shadow of itself, which it is not.

I'll wager the guy will never be heard of again, other than for some future traffic violation or domestic violence matter which may arise...

Will never happen. Airlines will first take the tax money they are collecting for ticket sales and create a fund to pay controllers.

Airlines are low profit, highly levered businesses which cannot long survive cessation of their businesses (see also: aftermath of 9/11, The). Thousands of airline workers put on the dole just as Thanksgiving is coming along is a terrible look. Millions of Americans not being able to travel for the holidays is an even worse look.

The King's administration is coming up with cheap threat after cheap threat, and those threats sound crazier than the last. That may be a way to run a dictatorship, but as long as Americans have access to a polling place and a ballot, such threats and (possibly) actions will cause voters to vote Blue, from dog catcher to president...

A lot of white Trump voters are realizing now that they will soon be given work picking strawberries, cutting grass, putting up roofing, bussing tables or cleaning hotel rooms, if they want to get SNAP or Medicaid benefits. Many will not be eager to receive that for which they voted. Oh, and they will be required to do their jobs and accept their benefits with smiles on their faces. Or else...

Trumpy was very popular in Cincinnati for many years, as a player and then a broadcaster. Civic-minded, a gentleman and he grew into becoming a good broadcaster, on radio and television. The original Bengals were cobbled together from cast-offs and high draft choices, but many of them--Trumpy included--played above expectations for years. His play for Paul Brown gained the coach's admiration, and Brown was a tough guy to please. His was a life well lived. RIP...
