Private credit and private equity firms often feed off of each other, with the latter borrowing from the former to leverage purchases of operating businesses. In my career as a lender I've observed that these firms, collectively, provide no support for the actual operating businesses during tough times, walking away with as much dough as they can carry. What does this mean for investors? The 'smart guys' running private credit and private equity care little for the losses foisted upon investors, because the folks operating these funds have already been paid, and have little--if any--skin in the game. Who will get hurt in the end? Naive investors running insurance companies and pension funds, which causes ripples in the insurance contracts and retirement systems for millions of Americans. Hang on, it will get worse from here...

-why don't these ICE slobs have uniforms, other than those ill fitting vests, even after Krusty Gnome spent hundreds of millions on a plane and PR campaign. Most of them look like they were sent to the airport by a temp agency.
-these bozos prancing about with sidearms will end badly. I give it 48 hours before some traveler find a Glock in the men's room of concourse B.

The Trump clown car is in a ditch and those driving are gunning the motor after putting the car into neutral, while the occupants who got out of the car are pushing it deeper into the ditch. These people have no idea what they are doing, other than seeking a grift at every turn while gleefully putting soldiers, sailors and airmen at risk. They have no idea what the endgame of this mess looks like. God forbid the Iranian army fires some missiles into those long awaited Marine transport ships.

Those of us around in the 1970's remember the stagflation which hamstrung the US economy for years. 90-day cooling off periods for price and wage increases, windfall tax bills for oil companies, those stupid "WIN" (Whip inflation now) buttons, and when all else failed, cigar-smoking Paul Volker had to strangle the economy with interest rate increases unseen in this country's modern history. I was surprised to get a job upon my college graduation in 1981, and saw coworkers lose heirs over the following two years, and then things got much better. Let's hope we do not repeat this cycle...

Those of us around in 1990 recall the months-long buildup to the allied invasion of Iraq, after Saddam's forces rolled into Kuwait, to loot, pillage and rape. None of that build-up is happening here. Der Dotard is about to put boots on the ground in parts of Iran, and it is understood by all but those in our national idiot's war cabinet that Iranians of various stripes will be shooting at US Marines just because they hate Americans nearly as much as they hate the Israelis. It will be less than a couple of days after the Marines go ashore that one or more of them will be killed. Those funerals will be great advertising for the Dems.

Face it: the US was suckered and tricked into joining Bibi and Israel in a war to eliminate the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is not our war, but the blood to be spilled and the billions to be spent will make it an American war of choice, where under Der Dotard we will sacrifice soldiers, treasure and national stature, all before the mid-term elections...
