It's not my fault that you can't see what's happening in front of you. You can't seriously tell me there isn't a rising fascism taking place in this country and other countries around the world. Being anti-fascist is being pro-American.

You remember that kid in the movie Sixth Sense? "I see dead people." Sometimes the dead people kept going through the motions because they didn't know they were dead.

That's the Republican Party right now. It's dead. Its members may not know it yet, or believe it, but there's no shaking off the stench of its lies, corruption and fascism. There's no coming back for the party of Nazis, Putin agents and coup-plotting traitors.

Quite an interesting story, learning that some of the most prominent right wing "influencers" have been on the payroll of the Putin regime. Just like everyone suspected. I think there will be more fallout as we go.

The bottom line is, you should be skeptical of anything a right-wing commentator says. They are quite literally being paid to lie.

Like so many other Trumpers, that fool is attempting to compare the Covid economic crisis period with today. Completely disingenuous, since the world was in chaos and prices for everything were distorted.

And as you point out, gas prices were far higher in 2008, when another Republican was president. I know, because Hurricane Ike knocked out my power for 8 or 9 days, and I had to buy 5 gallons of gas twice a day to power my portable generator running my furnace, fridge, sump pump and lights. The water heater was a no-go, by the way. Gas was $4.40+ per gallon in Louisville.

It's better to eventually see the light than to never see the light at all.

A thoughtful GOP voter/leader might ask, why would so many prominent voices in your own team not only fail to support your nominee but also to go much further than that, taking the extreme step of speaking against him before the opposing party's convention?

Are they simply to be dismissed as "disloyal" and never "real" Republicans to begin with?
