Yeah, but see, this time we're expecting a foot of snow (give or take) from New Mexico to New England. Nearly 60 percent of the population is under a winter storm warning, the highest ever. Which, by definition, makes this novel.
I'm in a medium-sized city in north central Kentucky, which is expecting anywhere from 8 to 16 inches of snow, depending on whether sleet and freezing rain contaminate the snow total. Sixteen inches would break the all-time record for one snowstorm, and the records go back to just after the Civil War. So again, by definition, as novel as it gets.
But your snark is noted.
I can never think about nanobots without thinking of Michael Crichton's book, "Prey." It was one of the creepiest things I ever read.
