President Donald Trump on Saturday said he is nominating Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative federal appeals court judge, to succeed the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the US Supreme Court. Calling it a "very proud moment indeed," Trump called Barrett a woman of "towering intellect" and "unyielding loyalty to the Constitution." Barrett, Trump said, is "one of our nation's most brilliant and gifted legal minds."

A bar crawl in Germany may cost a 26-year-old from Florida 10 years in a German jail for partying despite showing COVID-19 symptoms, infecting at least 23 people and exposing more than 700. She was waiting for her COVID-19 test results after a vacation in Greece, where she reportedly partied several nights with a sore throat. At the same time that she allegedly told her employer that she was too sick to work, she allegedly went to several bars where she kissed several different employees. read more

No mention by Cruz regarding how he advocated permanently denying Hillary any SCOTUS appointments if she had won in 2016.

His current hypocritical legal gymnastics aside, Cruz is advocating blatant disregard for the appointment power of the presidency when it rests in Dem hands. That is where the Repubs are, violating all political norms to cling to power.
