President Donald Trump on Saturday said he is nominating Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative federal appeals court judge, to succeed the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the US Supreme Court. Calling it a "very proud moment indeed," Trump called Barrett a woman of "towering intellect" and "unyielding loyalty to the Constitution." Barrett, Trump said, is "one of our nation's most brilliant and gifted legal minds."

Good news! Trump has "agreed" to push back the next debates by a week, holding the second debate on the 22nd and the third on the 29th. No news on whether Biden had any part in this "agreement."

A side-effect of postponing the debates would be many more people holding onto their mail-in ballots until even closer to the election deadlines, which means many more ballots would be challenged by Trump as untimely.

Too bad Trump's incessant yapping and tweeting has already revealed that he doesn't want people to vote. As such, Trump's strategy is transparent.
