He reserved his most notable criticism of his party for their handling of the border crisis. "Too many Democrats thought it was politically incorrect to stand up for controlled borders. People hate chaos," he said. He was more reserved when Sorkin tried to draw him on the New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd's criticism that for Democrats "woke was broke". "There's something to that," he said, but he did not discuss his reported opposition to the Harris campaign's handling of Trump's transgender attack ads. read more

Lots of interesting stuff in there. Will the Dems listen? Probably not. From another article discussing Bill C's take:
The Charlamagne ad ranked as one of the Trump team's most effective 30-second spots, according to an analysis by Future Forward, Ms. Harris's leading super PAC. It shifted the race 2.7 percentage points in Mr. Trump's favor after viewers watched it. The anti-trans ads cut to the core of the Trump argument: that Ms. Harris was "dangerously liberal" - the exact vulnerability her team was most worried about. The ads were effective with Black and Latino men, according to the Trump team, but also with moderate suburban white women who might be concerned about transgender athletes in girls' sports.
Those were the same suburban women Ms. Harris was trying to mobilize with ads about abortion.
Democrats struggled to respond. At one point, former President Bill Clinton told an associate, "We have to answer it and say we won't do it." He even raised the issue in a conversation with the campaign and was told the Trump ads were not necessarily having an impact, according to two people familiar with his conversations. He never broached the topic publicly.
The Harris team debated internally how to respond. Ads the Harris team produced with a direct response to the "they/them" ads wound up faring poorly in internal tests. The ads never ran.

Seems a little harsh. Have they considered making her ambassador to France instead?
Charles Kushner was convicted of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering after hiring a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, arranging to record a sexual encounter between the two, and sending the tape to his sister. He was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. [...] He later received a pardon issued by his son's father-in-law, President Donald Trump. Kushner has donated significant amounts to Trump's campaigns. His son Jared Kushner is the husband of Ivanka Trump and son-in-law of Donald Trump. In November 2024, president-elect Trump stated his intention to nominate Kushner as the United States ambassador to France for his second term.

Yet, in spite of all of that they hit the trifecta on this election.

Sure! How does having no soul prevent one from winning?
In fact, lack of soul might be one of the reasons that the GOP does so well. Working their willingly duped and cowardly base into a froth over threats, imaginary and real (the Red Scare, welfare queens, the gheys, trans hiding in their toilets).
Here's some completely unrelated reading for you:
How Hitler Used Democracy to Take Power
Adolf Hitler never won a majority in a free and open national election. He never received more than 37% of the vote in a free and open national election, but he argued that 37% represented 75% of 51%, and demanded political power. It was the political calculus by which the Nazi leader disabled, then dismantled, the Weimar Republic. Hitler exploited his 37% to gridlock legislative processes, to cudgel or crush the political opposition, and ultimately to undermine the country's democratic structures. When Hitler had vowed in court, in September 1930, to destroy democracy through the democratic process, a judge asked, "So, only through constitutional means?" Hitler replied crisply, "Jawohl."

As if the Repubs give a flying-fudge about the legitimacy of their rule. The party that does everything in their power to disenfranchise voters, even overruling state amendments passed by voters 65% - 35%.
In November 2018, nearly 65 percent of Florida voters approved Amendment 4, a constitutional amendment that automatically restored voting rights to most Floridians with past convictions who had completed the terms of their sentence. Shortly thereafter, in June 2019, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 7066 into law, prohibiting returning citizens from voting unless they pay off certain legal financial obligations (LFOs) imposed by a court pursuant to a felony conviction.

A classic Red Herring which pervades even the trusty threads of the old DR, as Trumpers can't actually talk about things like who's being picked to ruin, er, run the government.

Elections are about motivating your voters and demotivating opposition voters.
On trans, a 2.7% shift in the race from a single commercial is HUGE. It riled the GOP base up and got them to go to the polls, or convinced Dem-leaning voters to stay at home or vote third party. The fact that Dems still haven't figured out how to deal with it despite years to prepare does not bode well for their future electoral prospects.
And the immigration issue is real, no matter how much Dems wanted to deny it. That's why Arizona wasn't even close this go-round.
