Only posted it to show there are potential downsides to employers paying to train their employees. Both in terms of retaining them after the training and in terms of expecting servitude in return.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure the current SCOTUS will throw the lawsuit out anyway.

I guess this leaves us with only one alternative.

For crafts and technician type workers, most companies have an agreement they have to sign stating if they take the training they must stay for an agreed upon time or pay the cost of the training back- prorated costs that is in relation to how long the employee stayed before quitting.

I'm old enough to remember when many companies trained their own workers, instead of counting on the government to do it. If there aren't people qualified to do these jobs, why aren't the companies helping to school the potential employees?

Because those trained workers will take their newly-acquired skill set elsewhere for more pay when the opportunity arises. To an employer who didn't sink that money into training and therefore have extra funds to poach employees from the employer who has less money to pay higher wages, since they paid for the training instead.

But telling 75-80% of the voting public that they wouldn't have been considered for the position based on the color of their skin or what they have dangling between their legs isn't the best method of winning people over.
