When did that change? These farmers have been hiring undocumented workers for years as they voted for Trump over and over. The U.S. has built parts of our economy based on cheap immigrant labor but now stupid Trump wants to just deport that labor source with no available replacements for them but now these stupid Trump voting farmers are starting to see the results of voting for a demogogue who riles up voters appealing to their inner racist selves because he hates brown and black people and capitalizes on the fact most Republicans do too but neither he nor the majority of his stupid voters ever consider the economic consequences of their votes; elect a populist demegogue and you get a populist demagogue who doesn't understand the basics of economics. This liberal is quite glad about the minerals deal. I have been told by people in Ukraine that this war is about two things; warm water ports in Crimea and access to those minersals by the United States. Geographically Russia had and still does have access to the same minerals in mines located just north of of Donbas across the border in Russia. So the goal was for Russia to own Donbas and control the supply of rare earth minerals and Crimea so they can have the ports they want.
This deal will insure that Ukraine gets all the weapons they need to fight the Russians for as long as it takes and Russia may have to end the war because of the costs in both men and money.
