Run all branches of the armed forces off of it then.

I already know that the U.S. Marine Corps utilizes solar power in various ways, both on bases and in the field, to enhance energy independence, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and improve operational capabilities. They employ solar panels and related technologies to power equipment, reduce fuel consumption, and increase the efficiency and mobility of their operations. And I bet other branches do as well.
And. Yes we know tanks can't run in batteries (yet) and airplanes can't run on solar (yet). But our subs and aircraft carriers do run on nuclear. Which is also a renewable energy source. Just not one of our most favorite or safe renewables.
Anytime you can produce alternative energy AND save money on fossil fuels you are increasing your national security.
The Department of Defense (DOD) has invested millions of dollars in alternative fuels, primarily biofuels, to reduce its reliance on petroleum. From fiscal years 2007 through 2014, the DOD purchased roughly 2.0 million gallons of alternative fuels at a cost of about $58.6 million, according to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). This contrasts with their purchase of approximately 32.0 billion gallons of petroleum fuel during the same period, at a cost of about $107.2 billion.
Is that also your advice for when you are getting raped?
Just sit back and relax. Try to enjoy it!
Nope. Not gonna do it. Not good for the economy!
