ADVISORY: Natural Gas Prices Expected to Rise Jan. 18 - Jan. 21
xxxxxxxxx Association has received an advisory to share with its membership regarding a potential spike in natural gas prices spanning the upcoming holiday weekend.
Analysts are anticipating the possibility of a similar situation when prices had a dramatic spike during Winter Storm Uri in February of 2021, which also fell over a four-day holiday.
The advisory noted yesterday, on the pipeline system of Panhandle Eastern, there was a gas trade for the four-day weekend at $17.20 per MMBtu.
On the Southern Star pipeline system, there were some bids in the $10 range, with offers in the low $30 dollar range " but no takers.
The advisory states to plan for some increased prices for natural gas " which it optimistically hopes will be restrained and lower and not in the $20 - $30 range per unit, or more.
-Two bogus roughing the passer calls
Can't disagree with that
