Nobody really wants to stop immigration, including a certain amount of illegal immigration. We have some very crucial industries that rely heavily on it and nobody has a better solution and it's been this way for 50 years.

But what we can't seem to run out of is steady supply of voters who are clueless on how the world really works.

Yeah, they should be able to demonstrate what this bill does in addition to what current federal mechanisms are in place already to prohibit sale of property to China. If it doesn't really do anything, then it's unnecessary.

This is where I don't think there is much of an ideological difference of opinion. It's just local politics. A legislature of one party trying to hit a governor of another party for not signing something making her out to be a commie.

People should know there is already a system in place to address this issue.

for my entire life I've been listening to doomsday predictions about the consequences of the federal government engaging in massive deficit spending.

What's the doomsday scenario? calling in the loan? not being able to pay the interest?

we keep kicking this can down the road while our economy continues to move forward. And the government keeps doing what it does.

and we point fingers at each other for being part of the problem and acting like each one of them is facing a consequence for this.
