We would know what the GOP saw wrong with it and also we would have seen their attempts to revise it accordingly.

It's been a wedge issue for the GOP. Plain and simple. They are exploiting what they can't fix (or unwilling to fix), which is our healthcare system.

I was critical of specific items included in ACA. My criticism has never been an endorsement of some magical non-existent GOP plan. It's just criticism.

Not to defend these 8 senators but some of them were actually representing their constituents with this move. Tim Kaine has a lot of federal employees in his state, for example.
