You seem as ignorant as the Senator's rhetoric which you willfully swallowed. Hook. Line. Sinker.

The investigation collected metadata, a.k.a. "dialed digits" and the information it provides. Information you, or Senators, voluntarily give to third parties is not and has never been confidential or private. I'm not aware of any instance of a Senator's substantive content being accessed, please correct me if I'm wrong.
