Not that it matters, or that any of y'all will believe it, but I rode the train with this dude two separate times the weekend before he was killed. The stories about his behavior match the general description in the media. He was definitely going through it. He was loud, angry, frustrated, but more sad and hopeless sounding than anything else. I remember wanting to keep my distance but also felt bad for the guy. It was not an awesome time riding with him, but I did not fear for my or anybody else's safety in the moment.

I've received messages on Reddit earlier this year that once Trump takes office I'm going to pay for my crime of polluting the white blood line. Not for miscegenation, for letting a child come out of my marriage. The message said that they have people doing recon missions, evaluating their neighbors. Neighbors last month have told me about groups of Trump supporters taking their kids trick or treating asking people who were giving out candy if they owned their own home or rented and if they were US citizens. Who am I supposed to be empathetic toward again?

You still think rules and procedures still matter? Who is going to stop them, some Democrat pointing to a few words on a page and shaking their fist in the air?

Democrats in elected federal office are generally wealthy, straight, and older. These are the types that will not suffer the consequences of the election like many of us will, so the need for action, even when they acknowledge the need, just isn't that urgent to them. Plus they have Citizens United to shield them from charges of inaction.

Why does human excrement have to catch strays here?

My father is on 100% veterans disability due to Agent Orange exposure and a couple other factors from his service in Vietnam. It wasn't until I read his medical records after my mom passed away last year that I understood the nature of his issues and I realized how much my growing up was affected by it. If he found out that his monthly disability payment was being reduced it would be a significant hardship for him. If it were eliminated he'd be royally ------ and it would be a tremendous insult to his service and sacrifice. My grandparents used to talk about how he came back different, how he couldn't manage basic things in life without difficulty, but he was the only dad I ever knew and didn't really know the details so I had a lot of misplaced aggression growing up that should have been directed toward the federal government instead of my dad. Now as an adult it's difficult to not be resentful for what's been done to him and the sacrifices even I and my brothers were forced to make, before I was even born.
