The term AI gets thrown around a lot as a marketing gimmick, but what is there is really just fancy programming. In the example tweet above, the program requires a text string as a seed to create the piece of art. The guy, Glenn Marshall, had the creative idea of using the Copyright Office's own statement as the seed to create the picture. Not the program itself. Further, Glenn acted as a filter in deciding to post only an image that looked interesting. A program will just generate millions of images not knowing if any of them are worthwhile. [I know you can argue thats what any artist does, but there is still built in filtering when a human does it :-)
