It wasn't long after W was in his first term when he tried to privatize SS because he said funds would run out by 2039 (I think, or close to it). Anyone remember what the Dem response was? I do. They fought against it because they said SS wouldn't run out until 2048 (again, can't remember the exact years). That was their sole reasoning!!! Since they didn't agree on the date, they would rather just do nothing. I remember this well because it was one of the first times I remember truly feeling I made the right choice to leave the Dem party.

INCREDIBLY similar to paying off people's loans to get votes.

Apropos to my statement above, the Supreme Court has stated that paying off loans isn't something the POTUS can do. So why are you sooooooooooooooooooo willing to look the other way when Dems do it but then make it an arguable point when Reps do it?

What each person really has to come to terms with is do they care more about someone who says stupid things running our country or someone who has to have canned questions, major media outlets editing their answers, etc. leading our country. Word salads and being incapable of responding on the fly is something world leaders will not be able to look past, which ruins our clout. On the same page, someone saying stupid things also ruins our clout. So it's a bad choice either way. However, Trump has a clear track record of actually having good relations with other world leaders on a global scale (peace treaties in the ME anyone?)

So, making up dementia rumors means absolutely nothing. Well, it does mean one thing, people making them up have a low IQ and can't accept reality. Other than that though, the decision is yours.

What they completely ignore is that SS wouldn't be in this mess if they hadn't pilfered it over the decades. If they hadn't, we wouldn't need undocumented immigrant taxes. Make no mistake, the SS problem is 100% caused by politicians, not because of any specific demographic of people being taxed or not.

Also, what they don't add in context is how much is spent on vetting and caring for undocumented immigrants the moment they step foot in America. You can ignore it all you want and claim that no tax funds are spent on this but it doesn't change reality. SS may lose funds but many other areas of our economy would stop hemorrhaging money. I have no expectation that politicians will then use it to make up for the SS difference and other programs that need help but again, it's the politicians doing this...on both sides...for many decades.

In order for a known figure to be chronically underestimated, he/she has to give the appearance, speech, or actions that make people underestimate him/her. So that person only has themself to blame.

Completely agree. That's been the case for at least the last 20 years, though. W and the ones prior to him while I've been alive at least had the political experience and connections to make things happen. Today the candidates can be anyone because it's not the person people are voting for, it's the party. Trump proved that, many Reps wouldn't vote for an idiot like him if there were a better option. Now Harris is proving the same thing. Biden at least had many years in politics; unfortunately, his lack of doing anything meaningful and then saying how much he can do now (what happened to the previous 40 years?) prevented most Reps from at least seeing him as a viable candidate. They wouldn't have voted for him anyway because votes are for the party now, not for who is best to lead our country.

Ok, so now DR lib kids want businesses to be political 100%. All McD's did was say it wasn't going to support either party...exactly what businesses should do imo. But, if you disagree and think every business should have to declare their support of a candidate, when one comes out and says no then why do you automatically take that as them supporting one side or another?

100% accurate, although I think it's dumb that we have to argue over something like this when it comes to POTUS candidates. But the fact still remains, she said something and nobody can provide evidence. Regardless of your political affiliation, that's called a lie (until it can be proven). But, Harris has been going on for a while now about Rep lies. And no Dem calls her out on her own lies. And she's made some terrific lies.

Well, first off, Musk has proven he wouldn't sell out like you claim based on business offers he received for Starlink by China and NK, where he declined solely because he didn't want to do business with them.

Secondly, and I would truly love an answer by a liberal who accepts reality, why don't you demonize popular liberal pundits, podcasters, etc. and PROMINENT Dems who have said someone should make Trump disappear, or someone should "end him", or the other examples of threats against Trump (and, for that matter, against many other Reps)?

Seriously, what is it in liberal brains that continuously ignore their own side doing the same thing as the other side? It can't be argued or denied in reality since it's all on record and easily searchable (although I did notice CNN took down an article about a podcaster threating to kill Trump from a year or two ago, which just supports the notion that the liberal media is not telling the truth to libs and we all know libs, especially DR libs, only trust the news from CNN and other liberal outlets).

I'm not making unfounded accusations or trying to demonize in any way. I just want an actual answer (not a 60-minutes edited one) as to why liberals are ignoring their own hypocrisy. Trump and Reps have many problems that are bad for the country. Why can't liberals ever see any problems in their own party and why are their thought processes blocked from seeing the hypocrisy? If you've read my posts on here and don't add in your own intent of those posts, you can clearly see I don't like Reps just as much as I don't like Dems, so I'm not being partisan. I attack both sides. But for the last few years, almost everything I can even post on DR is about hypocrisy. I've even given links to clear examples. Yet DR lib kids STILL can't accept it. Why? I mean, even a bad answer is better than no answer...or a typical partisan answer that ignores the question and immediately goes into TDS.

Oh man, this is one of the most hilarious examples of liberal hypocrisy yet. So, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many prominent Dems and liberal journalists are on record saying Trump should be silenced because of his lies. Countless lawsuits in almost every state by liberals over the last two terms have tried to silence Trump and other Reps for their lies.

But, oooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmggggggggggggggggggggg, liberal outlets put out lies and Reps complain and all of a sudden lies are a 1st Amendment right. Fact is,

Like the real and accurate stories of a hotel being taken over by immigrant gangs that Dems won't accept as reality? Or the real and accurate story of a person's pet being eaten by immigrants (it's true no matter how much you want to ignore it, albeit it was one example and should never have blown up like it did), like the real and accurate stories of women being raped AND/or killed by illegal immigrants (of which we have many examples now so, again, it's true no matter how much you want to ignore it).

Point is, I have seen a lot of accusations made by Reps that are supported by real and accurate evidence that Dems ignore, that to hear Dems hypocritically call out Reps for doing the same thing just makes me sad for the country. Dems are lying to everyone every day all while calling out Reps lying.

Yet all the death threats by liberals pointed at Trump (and actual attempts), all of the demeaning of anyone who doesn't fall in line with liberal ideology, the erasing of history, etc. are all ignored. Most recently, Dems demean black men if they choose to be an individual with their own thoughts and conclusions all while telling the country that it's racist to demean black people. Now replace that last line with Jew instead of black and you get even more likeness to Hitler.

Everything I've posted above was done by Stalin and Hitler (don't know about Mussolini) and are on record beyond any contestation or doubt (unless, of course, you are a liberal who wants to delete more history). So, if it's bad to be like them, hold your own party accountable before pointing fingers. By not doing that, you are just choosing to vote for one dictator-like person over another. So, congratulations, you are doing nothing to help America prosper.

And this is why Dems continue to ruin the country. Reps went overboard in their response to the decision, no doubt, and they should be held accountable. But abortion rights are NOT in any way, shape, or form something that threatens our country. Just like pronoun use. Just like trans funding in prisons. And on and on and on. Sure, they are something to fight for if it is an important topic to you but clinging to these things as if our country is ruined if we don't do something about it that Dems agree with is...and I'm saying it bluntly which is the only way to really get the truth across...STUPID.

There are many other topics that threaten this country's livelihood and existence. And it isn't these social issues. So while Dems continue to place more priority on these issues than things like illegal immigration (which we have countless examples of how it is hurting people directly), economy (which some prominent Dems are on record saying that is a low priority for this voting cycle), sex trafficking (which is only increasing), etc., this country is actually being hurt.

If you truly believe abortion is a national crisis that has any tangible way of hurting the entity known as America, please please please don't vote. Abortion and the other examples I gave are myopic issues intrinsic to the individual level, not a holistic crisis that negatively impacts the infrastructure and architecture of any country.

There isn't one thing in the article that isn't done by Dems. This is just another example of how Dems use hypocrisy to get votes. And our country continues to decline but, I know, all you lib kids seem to think that the country is in a golden age right now brought on by Biden and nothing is wrong anywhere. I'm just going by all of the rhetoric I am hearing on CNN, BBC, and MSNBC so don't blame me for saying it unless you also blame those media outlets.

Just like Hunter's laptop that was Russian disinformation, amirite? Hint...I'm not. It wasn't Russian disinformation but Dems ignored it completely and have fought hard to keep it under the covers.

It's impossible to have a prospering nation when the two entities running it don't play on the same field. Fine, you want to get out the corrupt, lying person in charge. Great! Now, why do we have someone who is also a corrupt, lying person in charge? I know, I know, you have to be objective to accept reality and that's not a skill DR lib kids possess. But that doesn't change the logic.

Most anything one party says about the other is rumor. The only people who are actually dumb enough to believe those rumors are people in the opposite party. Been this way for decades. Nothing new here except the kids who become old enough to open a website. The only real difference is, today, the Dem party takes Reps to court over rumors whereas they ignore ALLLLLLLL of the evidence of any wrongdoing by their own party. And, based on reactions to all of the evidence of Dem wrongdoing, liberal voters ignore it all too but have no problem hypocritically calling out Reps for doing the same things.

Well, US Dems may get what they want, the eradication of Israel. All while screaming that genocide is bad.

Yet, multiple prominent liberals and their legions of followers have no problem calling for the death of Trump multiple times...all on record and easily searchable within 2 minutes. There have been so many threats to Trump by Dems that it is now not even a question about who the Dem party really is and what they really want. The hypocrisy levels spewed by Dems have become so bad that it is plainly obvious all they want is to change America to whatever the flavor-of-the-day emotion they have. Even when they get their change, 5 years later they want to change that change because someone woke up with a different emotion. I am truly sad for the Dem party and what it has become. The most recent example solidified the evidence. When liberals are on record saying it's OK that only small portion of apartments were taken over by Venezuelan gangs so it's not a big deal, yet they spend billions lobbying to pass laws that only protect a tiny fraction of a specific demographic in America, you get proof positive evidence of their intentions.

There isn't any argument that can be made to prove me wrong. You can argue context and bring up examples that may have some relevancy, but the theme cannot be denied. I just wish Dems would stop allowing their egos and pride to run their party, like it was pre-2000. Progressives had a strategy to evolve American society in a morally correct manner then. After 2000, their entire strategy has been to just make changes for change sake because that's what people run by pride and ego do. I don't like Trump except for entertainment value. I don't like most Reps. I would love to return to the Dem party. But just listening and reading what liberals say these days is too much for anyone with critical thinking skills to embrace.
