A US Marshal was shot by an ICE agent during a traffic stop where ICE attempted to arrest a suspect. A law enforcement source told CNN that it is believed that the ICE agent's gun discharged while he was using in it in an attempt to smash a window in the car where the suspect was an occupant. The bullet struck both the suspect and the US Marshal.
At a time when US food prices have been increasing faster than overall inflation, the Trump administration has admitted to enacting policies that put the the US food supply at risk and a continuation of existing policy will drive US farmers out of business. Earlier this month the Department of Labor issued a report which states "The near total cessation of the inflow of illegal aliens combined with the lack of an available legal workforce is threatening the stability of domestic food production and prices for US consumers." The report went on to say that without immediate action to correct the situation that "agricultural employers will be unable to maintain operations and the nation's food supply will be at risk."

This was never a dead story because people like Bongino, Patel and even Vance and Trump to a lesser extent actively kept it alive during the Biden years. Once they obtained power over the investigation they could have allowed SDNY to continue their investigation into Epstein's coconspirators but they decided to prematurely close the investigation which meant they could no longer hide behind it being an active investigation.
It should be no surprise that the public now expects them to do what they said they would do and provide answers to questions such as this one taken from 2021 tweet from JD Vance, "What possible interest would the US government have in keeping Epstein's clients secret?" Most of the people in the country expect the government to do what Patel said in 2023 and "roll out the black book" to "let us know who the pedophiles are."
