I posted about this story when it originally occurred. I called it a home invasion and kidnapping at that time (my text was edited when it was moved to the front page). I'm glad to see some local law enforcement is still willing to push back against the illegal actions of the Trump administration.

The lesson anyone in middle east thinking about opposing Iran should take away from this story is that America may stab you in the back if you try to help us.

Mississippi had better be careful. Donald "I don't believe in building libraries or museums" Trump may decide to pull all of their federal funding.

This lawsuit was nothing more than an intimidation tactic. Make media afraid they'd have to defend against huge lawsuit if they criticize Trump. It's worked for Trump in some cases. Just take a look at what has happened to CBS.

George Santos was clearly a liar and fraudster. Republicans spent months blocking any attempt to expel him with many GOP members insisting that an Ethics Committee investigation must first be conducted.
Even after the investigation found substantial evidence that Santos broke House rules and US law more than 100 republicans voted against the expulsion. One of those republicans was Anna Paulina Luna, the Representative who introduced the motion to expel Swalwell.

While I personally feel that Swalwell should resign and I support taking action to expel if he will not step aside, I still have to point out the hypocrisy of the GOP and especially that of Luna.

I feel that it is worth noting that Gibson's previous conviction included drug trafficking. This is highly suspicious since Trump so strongly opposes drug trafficking that he has directed the military to attack boats and murder that are simply suspected of engaging in trafficking. I think it's fair to ask if Trump knows Gibson is a pedo? Does Gibson have dirt on Trump? Have they engaged in trafficking minors between each other?

There is at least as much evidence to support such an idea as the Trump administration has presented to justify the extrajudicial killings of boaters.
