I'm glad I am no longer in the dating world. I have a feeling it would be extremely difficult to date these days. I hear the horror stories from my employees that are single. I can't imagine going out on a date with a feral trumper; I'd rather stay single and stay at home. My pet bird Nova has more going for her than a feral trumper.

Fat shaming. The last bastion of acceptability in society. I hear people say terrible things to others all the time at work. If I hear them, I call them out on it. I try to keep it civil; but, sometimes, I get so irritated with their chaotic logic I just have to descend to their level to get my point across. Not something I enjoy doing.

I usually refrain from using coarse obscenities but this Ken Paxton is a ---- a*****e. I think he could use a good perifrontal lobotomy to improve his understanding of how lives can be lost and emotional, mental, and physical harm can be done when therapeutic abortions are denied to women who desperately need them.

I've seen my share of patients with TBI's over the decades. Men and women with brilliant careers and no slouches in the intelligence department end up with the emotional IQ of a four year old. One stands out after all these years. He was a stockbroker and a fantastic one at that. He was involved in a rather nasty car accident which caused his brain to be impacted in several ways. Long story short, when I saw him again after his accident he couldn't even express his want for ice cream. He just pointed and screamed. It was quite a shock for me as I was a newbie at that time. If this protocol pans out, it will be such a blessing in disguise. Traumatic brain injuries tend to make the patients violent at times. Something out of character for the person. To realize at some level that this is who you are for the rest of your life is just heartbreaking. To have even a semblance of normalcy in their lives would be a great stride for both the researcher/developer and patient. Here's to technology and science helping mankind live better and longer lives.

I wonder if the Republicant men got pregnant if abortion would be a sacrament and a God-given right. I'm gonna think on that one for a bit. But not too long; I have better things to do with my time than wonder about a group of men with no insight or understanding of subject matter at hand.

I honor the Americans who died at Pearl Harbor every December 7th. My uncle is in the USS Arizona. My Dad was a Korean War veteran and also helped rebuild the Luftwaffe runways in Germany after we Americans bombed the hell out of them. I volunteer with the disabled veterans at their center. I wear my Dad's dog tags to this day to honor him.

We once had a guy on the psych floor with a similar fantasy. He thought he was a store Santa Claus and God told him to tell the kids who sat on his lap for a photo that they'd all go to hell if they didn't "ask" for religious toys. Now that's total and complete certifiable crazy.

I've never noticed any religious discrimination at the research lab I work at. But then again, I just may have lucked out and found the one where everyone gets along. We're a good crew.

Awwww...........I loved This Is Spinal Tap when I saw it in the theater. I can't wait to see the sequel.

The Big Mac was introduced in Pittsburgh in 1967. I remember playing girls softball and our coach said if we hit a home run he would buy us a big mac as a reward. I hit a home run that day. I was all of nine and I remember just how good that Big Mac tasted. They didn't introduce the Big Mac to the rest of the country until 1968.

The conservatives are abandoning the ship. I guess Trumpy is losing his luster with his own kind.

As one of the few women who post on Drudgy; I have to say, rather loudly, NOPE!! I see naked people at work all the time. Don't wanna see 'em on my phone or computer.

Is that a real store? I've never seen that convenience store anywhere around here. Even if it's true, there are some real sickos in this world. I had a guy expose himself to me as I was walking to a bus when I was a medical technology student. Needless to say, I laughed my head off at him. It was rather funny; I have to admit. Guys should never expose themselves in freezing weather lol.

Well, I've seen worse in the ER. That's for sure. I mean, I've seen everything that could possibly be used as a sex toy come through there. And then some. Men seem to have a propensity for things that can be placed in the back end as well as some things used for --------- that had to be removed via surgery. This was pre-Viagra of course. Women seem to look for substitutes for the male member. It has been an interesting journey throughout my career as a medical technologist. I've cultured just about everything and anything that could be used as a sex toy. One part of my job I really won't miss.

I thought Catholic priests couldn't marry. I thought they took a vow of abstinence and an oath of fidelity to the church. Shows how much I know about mainstream religion. And she's just eighteen? Well, I guess whatever floats his boat. Almost a cradle robber lol.

I'm making the assumption that this may be a terrorist act. Hopefully, it's just a car malfunction. If that is the case, loss of life around a major holiday is hard enough to fathom. I look forward to updates on who were the victims and exactly what has transpired.

I have no problem with differing views. I'm always willing to listen to other people's views. It's the idea that people want to convert me to their side that I don't like. I respect their views; they should, in return, respect mine. That seems to be a problem with conservatives. And, yes, people of differing views can get along; but, in this day and age, they are few and far between.

I'd rather live in a foreign country than live in a red state. I'd be clashing with my friends and co-workers all the time over our differing views.

God, just give me a tin can and some string for crying out loud.

If anyone in my family discusses politics, sex, or finances they automatically end up sitting at the "children's table" the entire dinner. I love it. So all the adults who want to stir up trouble can discuss their burning adult issues with children who will look at them like they've lost their minds. And so it goes......

I'm retiring next September; anyone can have my job. But no one wants it. And now my employer wants me to stay to 70. Nope, nah, no way will I stay one day beyond what I have to. Any generation behind me can have my job. But none of them want it. It's not an easy job; in fact it's the hardest job I've ever done. I don't like being responsible for a multi-million dollar budget for my department. But I still do it. For another 10 months.
