I just hope it's not a person who is transgender. That wouldn't be a good thing for people like myself. That would just sink us further down the political landscape. It would invite violence against us.

It's hard to feel anything anymore when our country REFUSES to do what is necessary to end gun violence. We've become too desensitized to gun violence because it happens way too frequently. I don't know what to do about it. It's beyond my power.

Funny thing is the president has an opportunity for greatness. He can use this killing as an opportunity to unite the country, disavowing violence and authoritarianism, he can radically change his rethoric.

Listening to Megyn Kelly's podcast as I'm about to mow the lawn. It's gut wrenching listening to her try to hold it to hold it together. He was a pretty good friend of hers.

This is a weird way to deny something. You didn't listen to Kirk and you don't know what your brother heard when he did. Your certainty is completely unearned. You have no idea how harsh Kirk was in his rhetoric against transgender people. They were a subject he talked about a lot.

My main observation from the last few hours of monitoring US social media is that Democrats are universally denouncing political violence and calling for calm while MAGA are escalating language and openly lusting for retribution against broad categories of people they identity as their enemies.

WTH?? Our country was founded upon political violence. From our inception our violence is what freed us to the violence of characters such as Aaron Burr to the killings Lincoln,McKinley to the assassination attempt of Teddy Roosevelt to Kennedy and Reagan. We've always had political violence. It's our bread and butter sadly.

Karma's a bitch as they say. That said, he didn't deserve to be shot. Sincere prayers for him & his family. This doesn't bode well for our country.
