The last dictator to bomb Iran was Saddam Hussein. Shortly before then, he was gassing civilian Kurds.
Netanyahu is now bombing Iran. Shortly and concurrently with this he is/was murdering civilian Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Now, to complete the wanna-be dictator trifecta, Trump is bombing Iran. Just a short time ago he was deploying Marines to the streets of Los Angeles to persecute and intimidate people who do not support them.
Do we all see a pattern? Iran is the world's easiest target for wanna-be strong men to show how tough they are.
Truth be told, with it's continuous and ongoing support for international terrorist groups, Iran makes it easy to hate the theocratic regime there and become an instant "hero" by attacking it. Also, ironically, if somehow the USA and Israel do manage to force regime change in Iran, over the SHORT term the world will be a safer, more stable place. But that is like cutting off the head of a hydra. Quickly two more heads will grow to replace the one that has been cut off.
Also, regardless of your politics, it is clear that the US has attempted to target strictly military/nuclear facilities. This was not an attack on Iran's civilian population. I realize that in our liberal hatred of Trump we want to make it seem that this was some out of control maniacal attack. But in this instance that simply does not appear to be the case. It appears to have been a targeted, and so far at least, relatively well thought out attack on what seems to be as legitimate a group of targets as could have been chosen. We shall see.
Once again I have to say... I would far prefer we have an open border that allows everybody and anybody into America than the current abomination that Trump and his MAGAt cultists have allowed ICE and law enforcement to become in regard to immigration. The notion of deporting people (including children) to nations, or even continents with which they have zero connection, no family/friends/support, no knowledge of the local language, culture or even most basic elements of daily life is Kafkaesque and a moral travesty. There is no action that more loudly proclaims the US government under Trump does not care if these immigrants live or die or are subjected mistreatment beyond imagination. What's next? Lining them up against a wall and shooting them?
