I might take this "blame the Dems" bs more gracefully if the GOP hadn't been sabotaging attempts at immigration reform since Reagan's amnesty.
Never any enforcement against the largest exploiters of immigrant labor, Ag/meat processing/construction. Never a white guy that employs illegals busted. The campaign contributors get first consideration and they're not about to start raising wages to attract citizens. And a never ending parade of further obstacles and delays for those actually "doing it the right way". Kinda makes all this uproar seem like it is really more about non-whites shortly becoming the majority in this country and white's political dominance eroding.
In a word, racism.
