" Definitely don't miss (NW Washington)"
Agreed! The Olympic peninsula offers multiple worlds, including sandy beaches, cloudy "stacks" beaches, the Hoh rainforest, and an alpine ridge 45 minutes above Port Washington. At the summit, the bride and I threw snowballs at each other ... on July 17th.
One of the highlights was going to Neah Bay, an Indian reservation at the NW point of the contiguous 48 states. We were turned on to a guy who'd buy the first catch of salmon every morning, and smoke it. Best fish I've ever had: swimming in the morning, smoked for lunch. Yum!

Yes, pigging out at the all you can eat salmon bakes were something like $20-30 per car in the 80's.
Moe's fried oyster sandwich is also recommended. They're a franchise now, apparently.
