Sinvalda Oliveira of Marlborough says she voted for Donald Trump for president in 2024 because she wanted to see a tighter border and fewer immigrants flooding into the country. But the Brazilian immigrant and naturalized U.S. citizen says she didn't expect Trump's campaign promise to remove "criminals" from the country to expand to local Brazilian construction workers, nannies and house cleaners, including one of her own friends. Now the 56-year-old longtime aesthetician says her business is floundering, many of her clients are staying home and she's worrying about the future. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act passed by congressional Republicans and signed on July Fourth slashes health care spending nationwide over the next 10 years by more than $1 trillion. In rural areas alone, federal Medicaid spending will be cut by about $137 billion, according to the health research organization KFF.

UPDATE: Sinclair is NOT going to broadcast Jimmy Kimmel, even though ABC is resuming production.
Sinclair has demanded that Kimmel personally donate to Turning Point USA, a right-wing political organization.
David Smith, executive chairman of Sinclair, donated 250K to Turning Point USA last year.
