Recent information available suggests that Joe Biden has not allocated $5.1 million specifically for sirens for Texas flooding.
Instead, Texas Governor Greg Abbott requested a major disaster declaration from the Biden administration following the catastrophic flooding that began on July 4th. This request included funding through the federal Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
However, the federal government had not approved this type of funding in months, and the status of this request is pending.

The Kerr County representative that voted against the bill with the siren system update, but for the bill that bought a bunch of drones, planes, ambulances, and boats is on record regretting his vote.

What Texas does is issue extensive studies on what systems areas should have. Implementing that system is up to the communities and usually done with a public-private partership. The most elaborate sensor and multi-siren sites run about a million bucks each before depreciation, maintenance, etc.

The river monitoring system is managed in a 3 way partnership between the river valley authority, funded by the authority's non-profit, in cooperation with a state agency and the USGS. It was last upgraded about 7 years ago with a grant from the USGS, which was matched and then exceeded by a donation from Pepsi & Frito Lay.

The difference in life or death was whether you checked your cell phone for the alerts. You didn't hear a siren in Kerr County, because they don't exist. There was a bill this year that would have paid for them, it was voted down by reps that included the one from Kerrville. They bought a bunch of disaster response equipment instead on a different bill.

It's totally Republicans fault that it flooded in a very rural flood plain.

Same way it's totally Democrats fault for there being fire in a fire plain.

That's genius. We arrest the farmer, and make him farm his own farm with people from his cell block. We have to do something, Trump importing greatly persecuted white South African farmers doesn't seem to be working out.

There's what Drudge Report wants to have happened based off just the "worst case" of a preliminary DIA report, and what Trump wants to have happened based off the insanity in his head.

In between that, in the OSINT world that cares about what really happened: The facilities are destroyed. Their mountains aren't igneous rock they're sedimentary. Extensive blast debris out the entrance and extensive subsidence from 30,000 pound thermobaric penetrator bombs. Whatever Iran could not remove has been destroyed, and you can't fit that that many centrifuges on so few trucks. The ability to make more is destroyed. The hunt for a 4th facility that may or may not exist continues.

All people are getting out of the DIA report is a speculative worst case scenario which is misleading at best.

1) Some of it. The hunt isn't over. The idea it's a surgical one & done is hollywood & politics, not reality.

2) Many of them. In the range of 20,000. Also, the ability to produce more centrifuges has been destroyed, along with the uranium conversion facility, and uranium metal plant. Overlay the facilities maps on the MOP holes, note the explosive effect at the tunnel entrances from the MOPs, and note the thermobaric effect. The centrifuge and equipment halls are ---- at Fordow.

You can't dig back into Natanz & Fordow when an F-35 can show up at any moment and drop a pair of GBUs on you and your equipment.

In algos it's pseudocode hw & exams, no specific language just logic & inductive math. Occasionally you do a leetcode challenge for an assignment, but you can do it in C or Python.

It's an advanced elective, but no, students are not coding massive LLMs like the gpt models. They don't have the funding, the clusters they can access aren't that powerful. GPT-4 has 1.7 trillion parameters.
