He, does, but, what he really wants is to be loved.

So he would only do that if people would love him for it.

Trump is often called stupid, but that doesn't effectively describe his mental impairment.

Trump is reasonably smart in an analytic sense, as smart as say Eberly. But his unmet emotional needs result in unforced errors. Like when Eberky has had a few.

Trump doesn't drink, after watching his brother succumb to the bottle. That's a true strength. But then so is mustering up the courage to kill someone.

Trump still has a chance to be the greatest President ever, if he does a rug pull on Putin and the utterly useless health insurance "industry." He's got the global world order and the domestic tranquility ready for a reshuffle and he can stack the deck on both sides.

But I won't hold my breath.

In the past few months, gold peaked, Bitcoin fell off, stocks stumbled, real estate is slumping, bots that are replacing jobs caused Internet outages.
