You don't understand how a deepfake of a child passed around school could hurt that child.
Normal people can figure it out, fortunately.

"a stick figure of a little kid"
How would you know it's a little kid?
Is the game of hangman about a little kid being hanged?

"Once again, as with so many other things Trump has done, it's inconceivable to imagine any other modern American president even thinking this up, let alone doing it."
This is what appeals to them about Trump. They say, don't pee in the pool. Trump gets in and pees in the pool.
Republicans applaud his bold leadership, his willingness to trust his instincts over the so-called "experts."

State like California refuse to collect snow runoff or build new aquifers #27 | Posted by BellRinger
An aquifer is an underground river. How does one "build" a new underground river? ???
As for the other thing, Governor Newsom issues executive order to help California capture and store more water from upcoming severe storms www.gov.ca.gov

Have you ever heard a Democrat demand answers about water and energy use? No? Yeah, ---- you. #3 | Posted by lfthndthrds
Washington, D.C. Today, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), led all Democratic members of the Committee in demanding answers about EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin's illegal efforts to claw back federal investments in clean energy deployment that would spur economic development, lower energy costs, and reduce pollution. www.epw.senate.gov

It's funny that the Oil Trust Fund Kid has no comment on this.
It's expected that all the other Trumpers have no comment on this.

Did the United States claim otherwise? Nope.
Why not? Because NYT is right.

Hospitals use UV light in their HVAC systems. #239 | Posted by visitor_
Do hospitals use masks when doing surgery? Why do they do that, since you say masks don't work?

But achieve better results? I want to believe that as well. I'm glad I voted for her. But the morons you think could manage to behave better? sorry....not putting any belief into that. #227 | Posted by eberly
Canada achieved better results than us. Mexico achieved better results than us. Trump is the reason why.
"But you can put your faith into better choices by trailer trash redneck magats who you believe would have been better at not spreading the disease because they give 2 ----- about the example Hillary set for them."
If we had ramped up production of test kits, other people -- sane people -- could have isolated themselves if positive.
Same people couldn't do that, because we had no test kits.
To your point: Herman Cain would probably be stupid enough to be dead, no matter what.

Why did Trump deify Fauci? #240 | Posted by visitor_
President Trump gave Dr. Anthony Fauci a Presidential Commendation on January 19, 2021, the last full day of Trump's first term.
The commendation was awarded to Fauci along with dozens of other members of the Operation Warp Speed team, including military leaders, scientists, public health officials, and vaccine developers. The White House said they were being recognized for their "exceptional efforts on Operation Warp Speed" and their work to protect the health and well-being of the American people during the COVID-19 pandemic. www.reddit.com

-So how many deaths under HRC? Substantially less. why? #168 | Posted by eberly
Because she wouldn't have disbanded the White House Pandemic Task Force. Because she would have listened to public health leaders who said we needed to ramp up testing, a thing Trump didn't do.
This has been studied extensively. Trump's (lack of, or bad) actions resulted in over 500,000 excess deaths.

We're balls deep in Bill of Attainder territory, with this administration.

"You are not going convince anyone that the head of the NIAID is a position without significant power"
Then, Trump gave him more power by appointing him to the White House Coroanvirus Task Force. If Trump wasn't happy with Fauci, he could have simply removed him from the team. He didn't. Trump also praised Fauci, and said we did the right thing by going into lockdown.

Fauci says he isn't responsible because he only made recommendations to government officials. Government officials say the aren't responsible because they were only following recommendations. #206 | Posted by visitor_

"People have a right to vote without unlawful discrimination, but they don't have the right to decide how voting will be conducted."
With that last part, you're lying again. That's not in the Constitution.
What is in the Constitution is that each State decides how it will run elections.
People do have that right to decide how voting will be conducted, through their State Government.
The right to vote without unlawful discrimination, that is a Federal requirement, but as long as State elections don't run afoul of that law, they are legal from a Federal perspective.
Not that we expect a Fascist to understand the principles of Representative Democracy.

"On what grounds should you be sent an absentee ballot?"
Because you want one.
Kinda like buying a gun. On the grounds that you want a gun, you can go buy one. (Unless you're a felon or whatever.)
It's your right.

If they are uncounted being shipped, that is a risk I believe we should work to reduce. #140 | Posted by BillJohnson
I can check the website to confirm they received my mail-in ballot. That reduces the risk. The things you're asking for already exist.
You pretend you don't know these things because you're a liar.

There wasn't a problem with absentee ballots or our elections until trump didn't win. #135 | Posted by Alexandrite
The BillJohnson from before Trump didn't win doesn't exist any more. He did a JeffJ without changing usernames.
He only ever engages on mail-in voting now. The rest is phoned in. Penciled in. Like his backstory.

I should clarify that it's not "easy" no matter how you go about it. #74 | Posted by eberly
Clarify. Tell us why it isn't easy to increase the income cap from ~$190K to double that amount. The overwhelming majority of voters in this country make far less than $190K a year, so why isn't it easy?
