Still dropping...

Down over 2,000 points now

My brother's financial advisor and my financial advisor (different entities) both told us the same thing (we both got spooked by this) - this drop is a long overdue market correction and growth will likely resume soon.
I hope they both prove correct, but I don't have a crystal ball....

Cybertruck deliveries were just under 39k for 2024, with a goal of 250k annual.

39k is pretty good for a $100k product.

F-150 sales are about 759k a year, 250k seems high to begin with.

I already know several companies sending jobs down to Mexico so they can export to Asia and Europe without reciprocal tariffs affecting them.

They hit this island.

But NOT Russia or North Korea.

They are just making up numbers with currency manipulation and trade barriers to justify the tariffs. China doesn't have a 67% tariff on US goods.

As these countries implement reciprocal tariffs, expect US businesses to offshore production so they can sell from non-tariff countries. Why build in the US to sell to China or the EU when you can build in Mexico and avoid tariffs?

And after building in Mexico, why come back when the tariffs end? There is no cost-benefit to moving back.

It's probably because he's undermining profits.
