I had a similar experience with my own mother. Her decline was gradual at first and wasn't noticeable by anybody except those who knew her the best. It took about two years, off and on, before she went into a rapid decline from which there was no return. Her mind just went away and never came back.

Anybody who has had any experience with a victim of Alzheimer doesn't need a medical degree to recognize the symptoms in Trump. He hasn't reached the rapid decline stage yet, but it won't be long.

When Trump says he will protect women, he means he'll take the heavy burden of voting off their backs.

Again we ask the same tiresome question. . . why is it always a Republican? . . . when the answer was made clear as standard m.o. in the Trump administration from 2017 to 2020. And again throughout his campaign for 2024.

In the past, I think Trump courted losing. He likes beating the odds. It makes winning so much more delicious.

But not this time. He has too much riding on winning this election. Not just personally but also the future of Mr. Putin's expansion plans into Eastern Europe~~ to only mention the top two.

I guess we could trace Trump's defeat back to the day Joe Biden stepped down, throwing Trump's whole campaign strategy for a loop. It's been an uphill battle ever since.

I also don't think the race is as close as the polls indicate. I'm not real big on conspiracy theories but there have been some plausible suggestions that Trump's numberers have been artificially inflated to keep his base and donors in the game as well as a buttress for his post-election lawsuits.

It happens more often than not when someone is as desperate as Donald Trump.

I don't know that it's that hard to figure out.

Since insurrection and fake electors didn't work the last time, my best guess is that he'll dispatch a team of legal scavengers to pull every loose string, exploit every nuance, intimidate, lie, scam, bribe and turn every mole hill into mountains as he drags his 'rigged election' grievances through the justice systemin in hopes he can create enough legal doubt and mass chaos to force the decision over to the House of Representatives before his 'secret' deal with Speaker Johnson peters out in the new Democrat controlled session on January 3, 2025.

Roberts court did (inadvertently) manage to accomplish one thing.

They energized an entire nation of predominantly women voters.

Perhaps, in their lofty perch, they never heard the words "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

Not to mention how many times he tried to shoot Dr. Fauci down and actually tried to get Dr. Fauci fired for telling the truth about the deadly severity of the pandemic.

Therefore, in my opinion, if Trump is suffering from cognitive decay now, he didn't have much to start with nor was he fit for office when he was inaugurated in 2017.
