I don't think Trump has a strong faith in Putin any more ~ which, incidentally, came a long time after Putin had already lost faith in "President" Trump.

They're both users. It was only a matter of time before one or the other showed his hand. Putin, the smarter of the two, just beat Trump to it.

They're both going to do everything they can to hang on to their power base, at home and abroad.

With Trump, of course, having destroyed America's relations with our allies, it's a long road back and it's all uphill ~ if ever.

Just an assumption but I think that may have been the motive behind that spectacular display of unity we just saw in China this week. It's hard for me to believe that the 3 of them want to permanently eliminate the USA as a trading partner. Rather, it's Trump and his battering ram approach to trade agreements that they can no longer tolerate.

Have they taught him a lesson? Doubtful. Trump is too thickheaded to admit failure. But their tactics will hopefully speed up the process of eliminating Trump and returning things to normal.

Diplomatic disaster.

Let's just say that Trump has been sent to the kiddy table while grownup talk.

My question is, why did the U.S, Navy abandon protocol and follow an illegal order?

Why didn't they just stop the suspect Venezuelan vessel, board, search, seize and arrest (if called for?)

Likely no. If Trump's history is any teacher, he would fail at both. But he'd kill a lot of people and do a lot of damage trying.

We all know that Trump does not know how to achieve success honestly. The history of his life as a businessman and a politician shows a clear pattern of narcissism, deceit, manipulation and eventual failure.

While he may pull the wool over the eyes of the less sophisticated among us, rest assured that enemies of the United States are watching Trump stumble, bumble and blindly set the stage to make America ripe for the very thing that is taking place now in China.

They've successfully set him up for the kill. They've left Trump with no wiggle room. He's been relegated to the kiddy table while the grownups talk.

Being snubbed by India's PM Modi for a Nobel Peace Prise nomination is not an emergency.

Getting even with Brazil for being mean to Trump's BFF and also the ex-President of Brazil, now on trial for attempting a coup is not an emergency.

Using tariffs as a battering ram to get his own way is not an emergency.

Somebody please ring the cow bell so Congress can wake.

One (out of many) of the things really crazy about Trump is that he's been such a loser all his life that he thinks he has to be King of the World to prove everybody wrong.

"Stupid" does not play well in that plan.

After the drubbing Trump just got from Putin that friendship may be irretrievable broken. It seems Mr. Putin has lost faith in "President" Trump's performance on behalf of Russia, or better yet, the lack thereof, and has decided the future of Russia is best served by others.

The point is, knowing Putin's penchant for deception, Russia may not be the safest haven for Donald.

In fact, right now I can't think of any place that is. When Mr. Putin feels betrayed, he seems to have a very long reach.

Probably most, at least the land, concessions and parking garages like he did in New York City. Trump's counting on the huge conglomerates of hotels and casinos paying big money and come begging to him to get in on the action.

He could be just jawin' to sway Netanyahu. Netanyahu seems to have other high-techy-techy plans for both Gaza and the West Bank.

This battle over Gaza could mean the end of a beautiful friendship.

Here's part of Trump's response on Truth Social to Xi Jinping (dripping with sarcasm) ~ "Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un, as you conspire against The United States of America."

I'm not sure Putin cares so much any more. He's got more powerful and less insane friends now.

Together they've left Trump on the outside, looking in.

My guess is that this is just a defensive move and will go back to normal trade relations when the Commander-of-Chaos gets the ol' heave-ho and rational, non-MAGA people take charge again.

That was then. But now that Putin has made a fool out of Trump in Alaska and doublecrossed him by joining a co-op trade bloc with China and India and then the 3 of them throwing salt on the wound by attending a big military parade in China, (to which Trump wasn't invited.)

My guess is that Trump is plotting and scheming his revenge as we speak. Maybe even by sending $$Billions$$ in military aid to Ukraine.

He'll be sorry he treated our NATO allies so badly. Friends of the United States are going to be hard to find.
