MTG's role as Trump's echo chamber in the House of Representatives has hurt a lot of people, including members of her own party, when Trump blew the dog whistle. And, like Trump, she did it with vicious gusto, even exceeding that of Trump's own.

I don't apologize for hoping she comes to a bad end . . . any more than I would for putting a rabid dog out of its misery.

You could call Trump's endorsements of late an albatross of doom.

But I think there's more to it than that. Congress desperately needs to go on record for sure to protect themselves, all the while knowing that Mike Johnson's 8-week stall has given Trump plenty of time to render the Epstein files

1) nearly useless for indictments, or

2) Trump will find some lame excuse to veto.

Trump didn't do an about face for no reason. Knowing him, "the fix" (whatever that may be) is in.

I can't believe the GOP majority cult members have suddenly grown a conscience.

Chances are their motive, all or in part, is about getting re-elected. They can read the poll numbers for themselves and it doesn't look good for the midterms.

However, they may be a little late for the party. Their past ugliness on behalf of Donald Trump has already taken hold.

IOW, she's reaping what she sowed. It's pretty nervy of her now to expect help.

Unless Trump's doctor wants to rule out something specific, like a tumor or hemorrhaging, my guess is Trump is going through the normal aging process of brain shrinkage. It has a long medical name but that's what it amounts to. The neurologist would not usually discuss the results of the MRI with the patient, especially not in such grandiose terms. That's Trump's usual defense mechanism kicking in.

If the shrinkage is age appropriate, the neurologist might call the results "normal" with some explanation as to degree. It's up to Trump's doctor to decide treatment, if necessary, for the memory loss and perhaps balance that is associated with brain shrinkage. It gets worse with age.

You can forget any explanation from Trump. He would never admit that his giant genius brain is shrinking.

Trump himself is the leader of the grifter parade. The rest are just monkey see, monkey do.

Anybody who would sic the GOP scum-dogs on Dr. Fauci during the Covid-19 pandemic has an irresponsible mean streak a mile wide. She made a lot of enemies.

She couldn't be trusted then and she can't be trusted now.

Trump withdrawing support doesn't seem to carry much weight these days.

Even some red states are refusing to gerrymander their maps for him.

Trump has opened up a can of worms with his demands and threats.

He'll brag about this nothingburger for weeks.

He creates a problem and then pats himself on the back for solving it..

If Trump ever started to tell the truth, his poll numbers would probably go up.

People understand to err is human. But not lying about it.

Of course, in Trump's case, telling the truth would be too little, too late. He's too far gone.

Greene isn't being entirely truthful. Now that she has abandoned her plans to run for Governor of Georgia (or President in 2028) she's well aware that continuing to support Trump will destroy her chances of holding onto her 14th district in Georgia for the U.S. House of Representatives.

If she can market herself as anti-Trump in Georgia to get re-elected, chances are she'll flip back for Trump, post-haste.

Once a flipper, always a flipper.
