True. At least the Dems "tax and spend" pays lip service to the concept of paying for the spending. It's Republicans "borrow and spend" to give giant tax cuts to the rich, who seem to think the credit card is unlimited.

I don't disagree that there is inefficiency and waste in the government, as there is everywhere, including the private sector. But I don't believe that's what DOGE is cutting. They've brought a chainsaw to brain surgery.

Prove it was waste. I'm not willing to simply take the word of the Trump regime, Elmo, their minions or YOU. Most of what I've seen cut were actually beneficial programs and important jobs. VERY little proof of the waste, fraud and abuse that they claim.

I think a little digging reveals Elmo's real motives.

Last time, Trump rode high on the economy he inherited from Obama, while taking credit for it.

This time, he may be delusional enough to believe that his dabble into tariffs in his first term are what spurred by his imagined success, so he's put his economic policy on steroids.

He will destroy this once strong nation. Perhaps he thinks he's doing the right thing, or perhaps he's killing the US at the behest of someone else. It's horrifying either way.

Until Republicans in Congress grow some courage, the chaos will continue. By the time we have any chance of changing the balance of Congress, I suspect it will be too late.

Normally a weak dollar would be good for the US tourism industry. Under Trump, no one wants to come. Trumps economic and foreign policies are already a disaster for America. And we're only 90 days in.
