China Lobbies Congress Behind Closed Doors on TikTok

The Chinese Embassy has held meetings with congressional staff to lobby against the legislation that would force a sale of TikTok, according to two of the Capitol Hill staffers.

It is not unusual for tech companies to lobby Congresspeople behind closed doors.

What is odd about this is that TikTok seems to say they are separate from the Chinese government.

Yet here we seem to have Chinese diplomats lobbying for TikTok.

I agree with (surprisingly) with Legally..

Tik Tok is not owed a right to be operating in the U.S.

If our government deems Tik Tok to be an operational risk, they need to ban it.
